~JUST A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE~

~Just A Closer Walk With Thee I am weak but Thou art strong, Jesus keep me from all wrong; I'll be satisfied as long, as I walk, let me walk close to Thee.~

~When my feeble life is o're, Time for me shall be no more; Guide me gently to that shore, Let me walk, dear Lord, close to Thee.~

~Just a closer walk with Thee, grant it Jesus is my plea; Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.~

~ANOTHER WAY TO PRAY~

~An old gentelman was strolling through the park one beautiful day, when he came upon a child sitting on a bench.~

~The six year old was very busy saying his A B Cs The old man waited till he was through, then said, "I see your practicing your alphabet"~

~The boy looked up at the old man and replied, "No I was praying!"~

~Praying? the old genteman asked. Yes, said the little boy. You see I don't know how to pray very well so I just give God the letters and he puts them into the right words.~

~A MAN'S CRY~

~A Friend of mine was driving through an intersection one day and his little 3 old son was in the car with him. the car door flew open, and the little boy rolled out of the vehicle right into the middle of traffic coming from 4 ways!~

~The last thing my friend saw was a set of car wheels just about on top of his son moving at a vary fast rate of speed. All He Knew to do was CRY,"JESUS!"~

~As soon as he could bring his car to a halt, he jumped out and ran to his son, who was perfectly all right. But the man driving the car, that had almost hit the child was absolutely hysterical.~

~My friend went over to him and trying to comfort him... "Man, don't be upset!" he said. "My son is all right, He's OKAY. Don't be concerned about it. Just THANK God you were able to stop!". "You don't understand!" the man responded. "I never touched my brakes!~

~"For he shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bare thee UP in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." Psalm 91:11,12

~WHEN THE ANGLES CRIED~

~Stillness filled the Heavens On crucifixion day, Some say it rained, But I don't know if it's true.~

~Well, I can just imagine Ten thousand angels cried, That would seem like rain To me and you.~

The angels all stood ready To take Him from the tree, They waited for the words From His voice.~

~And when He asked the Father, "Why has Thou forsaken Me?" They watched the Savior die Of His own choice.~

~I've never seen ten thousand angels cry But I'm sure that they did, As they stood by And watched the Savior die.

~God turned His head away ... He couldn't bear the sight; It must have looked like rain When ten thousand angels cried.~

~As the sun slipped away, The skies turned to grey; And when Jesus gave His all, That's when the tears began to fall.~

~I've never seen ten thousand angels cry But I'm sure that they did; As they stood by And watched the Savior die.~

~God turned His head away . . . He couldn't bear the sight; It must have looked like rain When ten thousand angels cried.~

~THE LAMB~

~Mary had a little Lamb,  His fleece was white as snow,  Everywhere that Mary went,  The Lamb was sure to go,~

~He followed her to school each day,   When it wasn't against the rules,   He made the childen laugh and play,   To have a lamb at school!~

~Then the rules changed one day,   Against the law it became   To bring the Lamb of God to school,   Or even speak His name.~

~Every day got worse and worse,   And days turned into years,   Instead of hearing childen laugh and play, You heard them crying tears.~

~What must we do to stop the crime,   That's in our schools today?   Let the Lamb come back to school,   And teach your kids to pray.~

~Please send this poem to EVERYONE YOU KNOW , it is important people understand it's message.~

~THE LETTER~

~Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter:       Dear Ruth, I'm going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit.~

Love Always,Jesus

~Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. "Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer." With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. "Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner."~

~She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents "Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least." She threw on her coat and hurried out the door. A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total of twelve cents to last her until Monday.~

~Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm. "Hey lady, can you help us, lady?" Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway.~

~A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags. "Look lady, I ain't got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us, lady, we'd really appreciate it."~

~Ruth looked at them both. They were dirty, they smelled bad and, frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to. "Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him."~

~"Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway." The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley. As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart. "Sir, wait!" The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them. "Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else to serve my guest." She handed the man her grocery bag. "Thank you lady. Thank you very much!"~

~"Yes, thank you!" It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering. "You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one." Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest. "Thank you lady! Thank you very much!"~

~Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him. She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox. "That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day." She took the envelope out of the box and opened it.~

~Dear Ruth, It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.~

Love Always, Jesus
~The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.~

~A WARMING OF THE PEW~

~His name is Bill. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it, jeans and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire four years of college. He is brilliant. Kinda esoteric and very, very bright. He became a Christian while attending college. Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conserverative church. They want to develop a ministry to the students, but are not sure how to go about it.~

~One day Bill decides to go there. He walks in with no shoes, a pair of jeans, his T-shirt, and wild hair. The service has already started and so Bill starts down the aisle looking for a seat. The church is completely packed and he can't find a seat. By now people are looking a bit uncomfortable, but no one says anything. Bill gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit and when he realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right there on the carpet. (Although perfectly acceptable behavior at a college fellowship, trust me, this had never happened in this church before!)~

~By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is thick. About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Bill. Now the deacon is in his eighties, has sliver-gray hair, a three-piece suit, and a pocket watch. A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very courtly. He walks with a cane and as he starts walking toward this boy, everyone is saying to themselves, "You can't blame him for what he's going to do. How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand some college kid on the floor?"~

~It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy. The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man's cane. All eyes are focused on him. You can't even hear anyone breathing. The people are thinking,." The minister can't even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has to do." And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With great difficulty he lowers himself and sits down next to Bill and worships with him so he won't be alone. Everyone chokes up with emotion. When the minister gains control he says, "What I'm about to preach, you will never remember. What you have just seen, you will never forget."~

~HOPE AFTER THE RAINBOW~

~Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, There will always be sunshine after the rain.~
~Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall, But God's always ready to answer your call.~
~He knows every heartache, sees every tear, A word from His lips can calm every fear.~
~Your sorrows may linger throughout the night, But suddenly vanish at dawn's early light.~
~The Savior is waiting somewhere above, To give you His grace and send you His love.~
~Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, God always sends rainbows after the rain.~

~HELLO GOD~

~Hello God, I called tonight To talk a little while... I need a friend who'll listen To my anxiety and trial.~
~You see, I can't quite make it Through a day just on my own... I need your love to guide me, So I'll never feel alone.~
~I want to ask you please to keep, My family safe and sound. Come and fill their lives with confidence For whatever fate they're bound.~
~Give me faith, Dear God, to face Each hour throughout the day, And not to worry over things I can't change in any way.~
~I thank you God, for being home And listening to my call. For giving me such good advice When I stumble and fall.~
~Your number,God,is the only one, That answers every time. I never get a busy signal, Never had to pay a dime.~
~So thank you God for listening To my troubles and my sorrow. Good night, God, I love You, Too, And I'll call again tomorrow!~

~THIS IS JESUS~

~2000 YEARS AGO THERE WAS A MAN BORN CONTRARY TO THE LAWS OF NATURE THIS MAN LIVED IN POVERTY AND WAS REARED IN OBSCURITY. HE DID NOT TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY, ONLY ONCE DID HE CROSS THE BOUNDARY OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH HE LIVED AND THAT WAS DURING HIS EXILE IN CHILDHOOD TO EGYPT. HE POSSESSED NEITHER WEALTH NOR INFLUENCE. HIS RELATIVES WERE INCONSPICUOUS AND HAD NEITHER TRAINING NOR FORMAL EDUCATION.~

~IN INFANCY HE STARTLED A KING; IN CHILDHOOD HE AMAZED JEWISH LEADERS, IN MANHOOD HE RULED THE COURSE OF NATURE, WALKING UPON THE BILLOWS AS IF PAVEMENT. HE HUSHED THE SEA TO SLEEP.~

~HE HEALED MULTITUDES WITHOUT MEDICINE AND MADE NO CHARGE FOR HIS SERVICE. HE NEVER WROTE A BOOK, AND YET ALL THE LIBRARIES OF THE COUNTRY COULD NOT HOLD THE BOOKS THAT HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT HIM, HE NEVER WROTE A SONG, AND YET HE HAS FURNISHED THE THEME FOR MORE SONGS THAN ALL THE SONGWRITERS COMBINED.~

~HE NEVER FOUNDED A COLLEGE, BUT ALL THE SCHOOLS PUT TOGETHER CANNOT BOAST OF HAVING AS MANY STUDENTS. HE NEVER PRACTICED PSYCHIATRY AND YET HE HAS HEALED MORE BROKEN HEARTS THAN ALL THE DOCTORS FAR AND NEAR. NAMES OF GREAT SCIENTISTS, PHILOSOPHERS, AND THEOLOGIANS HAVE COME AND GONE; BUT THE NAME OF THIS MAN ABOUNDS MORE AND MORE.~

~HEROD THE GREAT COULD NOT DESTROY HIM AND THE GRAVE COULD NOT HOLD HIM HIS NAME STANDS HIGHEST OF HEAVENLY GLORY, ACKNOWLEDGED BY ANGELS AND FEARED BY DEVILS. "FOR THE LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD AND I HAVE GIVEN IT TO YOU UPON THE ALTAR TO MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS; FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL"~

~AS THE LIVING PERSONAL CHRIST, THE MESSIAH AND SAVIOUR, THE REDEEMER OF MAN. HERE IS GOD'S APPOINTED SACRIFICE FOR SINS LONG AGO GOD'S DIVINE PRINCIPLE WAS ESTABLISHED, THAT "WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD THERE IS NO REMISSION"~

~TODAY GOD, IN WONDROUS LOVE TELLS US, "THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON, CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN" JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS FULFILLED ALL OF THE SCRIPTURES REGARDING MESSIAH'S BIRTH, MINISTRY, DEATH AND RESURRECTION. THERE ARE OVER 300 PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT CONCERNING MESSIAH'S INCARNATION. JESUS FULFILLED THEM ALL.~

~GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH IN ORDER THAT HE MIGHT DIE FOR YOU. HE CAME TO EARTH BUT WAS REJECTED BY THE PEOPLE AS THEIR KING AT THAT TIME. HE IS GOING TO COME TO THIS EARTH AGAIN AND THEN HE WILL BE ACCEPTED AS NOT ONLY KING OF THE JEWS BUT AS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.~

~TIME HERE ON EARTH IS SHORT ETERNITY IS FOREVER SOON JESUS WILL RETURN TO CLAIM HIS BELIEVERS. I KNOW I WILL BE ONE OF THEM BECAUSE I SAID A SIMPLE PRAYER FROM MY HEART.~

~THE BIBLE SAYS WHEN YOU ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND EXPRESS YOUR KNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS IS YOUR SAVIOR THE ANGELS REJOICE.~

~A DOZEN LIFE-LESSONS FROM NOAH'S ARK!~

~1. Always plan ahead. There wasn't any rain in the forecast when Noah started building the ark.~

~2. Don't listen to your critics. Listen instead to your heart, and then do whatever has to be done. The neighbors might have taunted when Noah was blocking their driveway -- but he had the last laugh as soon as the rain began falling!~

~3. Stay physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally fit. You never know but that when you're 600 years old, someone might come along out of the blue and ask you to do something REALLY big!~

~4. Always build on the highest ground possible. Character always counts!~

~5. Don't seek to go it alone. Always travel, at least, in pairs, because two heads are better than one.~

~6. Speed isn't always an advantage. The cheetahs were on board, but so were the snails; and they all arrived safely on dry ground at the very same time.~

~7. If you can't fight or flee from adversity -- at least make certain you have an idea that can float in the battlefield of ideas!~

~8. Don't forget this underlying truth: that ultimately when all is said and done, we're all in the same boat.~

~9. Be flexible in your thinking. Remember that amateurs built the ark while professionals built the Titanic and the Challenger Space Shuttle.~

~10. Remember that Fear is nothing more than "False Evidence Appearing Real". The woodpeckers on the INSIDE are often a bigger threat to your overall well being than the storms raging on the outside.~

~11. Be timely. Don't miss the boat!~

~12. Remain faithful and optimistic. No matter how bleak it looks, if God is traveling with you, there's always going to be a rainbow of peace on the other side of the storm.~
