SNIPER RECORD - Picture
- Date
- Type of round (Match grade/regular & 'Lot' number)
- Rounds fired
- Total rounds fired (Important for the barrell life of your gun)
OBSERVATION LOG - Picture
- Sheet number out of number of sheets used
- Your name (If more than one person uses the book)
- Date and time
- Location
- Number of the event you are recording (Start at 1, 2, 3...)
- Time the event happened
- Location of event (direction and the distance to it)
- Describe the event
- What you did during the event (Did you observe.....?)
MILITARY SKETCH - Picture
- Description of the terrain (vegetation, roads, structures, distance from your position....)
- Picture of the engagement (Your perspective)
- Sketch name (Should be named after the most prominent object in the sketch)
- Your location
- Weather
- Magnetic north
- Number of the sketch
- Your name
- Your rank
- Date/time
RANGE CARD - Picture
- The main portion is where you draw the engagement area. Each line represents a given disance from your position, the distance is your choice.
- At the end of each half circle is a box. If there is a structure on that line, record the range, windage, and elevation of that structure. The idea is to record as much information as possible on this card.
