Loyal and true…forever,
They just want to be one of the ‘pack’;
They’ll do anything to please us,
And, that’s a well-know fact!

When you’re sad…they’re sad,
And when you’re happy…they are…too;
And, they’re always enthusiastic,
They’ll do whatever you do.

To me…cats appear quite selfish,
And, they roam around at night;
A bird or a goldfish…well,
You can’t cuddle them…that’s right!

But, A MAN’S BEST FRIEND is always there,
Through good times and the bad;
And, sometimes…to tell the truth,
A MAN’S BEST FRIEND is all I had!

We’ve all heard tell…of times,
When a dog has given up his life;
To protect, rescue…to save people,
Yes, the dog paid the supreme sacrifice.

I guess that’s one of the reasons,
Why nearly everyone loves a dog;
Sincere…unconditional love,
Yes, A MAN’S BEST FRIEND…his dog!
