May also use "Presti's Authentic Italian Seasoning for Spaghetti",
available at Sam's or
Costco Wholesale. MEAT MIXTURE: Brown ground beef.
Be sure to drain fat! In a small amount of margarine or oil sauté
together sliced mushrooms, diced onions, bell pepper and fresh garlic.
Mix well with ground beef and cook until vegetables are tender. In
a large pot put tomato sauce. Depending how large you wish your chunks
of tomato to be, chop or puree your whole tomatoes and stir in with tomato
sauce. Add meat mixture. Season to taste using above listed seasonings.
Simmer for 2 to 3 hours for a good blend of seasonings. Start cooking
spaghetti noodles according to directions on bag about 15 to 30 minutes
before serving your group. You may wish to stir in vegetable oil
with cooked noodles to help prevent sticking.
