Mission
Creek - a linear Park
On a hot summer day you can take a soothing
walk along swift
flowing Mission Creek as it winds it's
way though farm lands
in the city of Kelowna. This forested
creek is such a peaceful
treat to have in a city. If you are at
the right time of year
your can watch the Kokanee Salmon spawning!

Cool
Canopy of Trees cover the Trail
Look up!
Leafy trees almost block out the sun, providing a
glorious cool green canopy of shade on a hot summer day.

Mission Creek
This is a picture of a quiet creek in late summer. In the
Spring there is
often warnings to stay well back for the banks as it contains
a huge
volumne of water during spring run-off, when all the snow is melting
high up in the mountain. Sometimes there is so much water
that even
Okanagan Lake spills over it's banks!

Shhh...
Don't scare the crane standing at the edge of the creek, he's standing
so still he thinks he's invisible.
