Fairy Tale

How about this? Jesus is all over the establishment news!

George W. Bush is proclaiming his faith in Christ on national TV......and no one knows how to take it. I watched Bush with Larry King last night, and I must admit to you, I got a little excited. I should tell you that my own ecumenical convictions stem from an unforgettable gift of Grace in 1981.....yes, ....I saw God!

So anyway, Bush is talking about Billy Graham and Jesus, and the seeds of faith and praying, and he's smiling and relaxed and looks sincere, but........

My God! This spawn of George Herbert Walker Bush Jr. looks like ........like frigging Ted Bundy!

No, ....it couldn't be ....that the anointed and mega-funded, sure fire, post-Clinton era GOP posterboy shoo-in for the Presidency in 2000, is proclaiming Christ to the world. Stunned at what I was hearing, I looked for delivery flaws and tip-offs of any insincerity, ........but all I could see was Ted Bundy!

Don't get me wrong....I desperately WANT to believe that someone with virtue and the fear of God in them will come along on a white horse and drag this nation and humans everywhere back to sanity, ....by the scruff of the neck if need be.

Yes, ....but that would be a fairy tale. It would be quite a fairy tale.

Picture a country where a man could support a family and a home, ....a home where a mother reigned and worked proudly and children frolicked and learned, ....a country free from DHS and welfare terrorcrats, ....a country where people were free to produce, earn, and save honest gold and silver constitutional money–––without penurious and confiscatory criminal taxation bureaus daily shattering any chance for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness....a country where charity and compassion are voluntarily given by those with the ability and inclination to do so–––NOT forcibly extracted by those with badges and high offices at the point of a gun....

Ahh, ....but as I envisioned the illusory and improbable return to moral responsibility that might one day ensue, given a leader with any decency and substance whatsoever, King's somber mien querying the bubbling Bundy-clone talking head wrenched me back to reality all too quickly.

Bush seemed to talk in clipped statements in anticipation of King's questions, flashing an almost furtive smile and looking much like young a schoolboy eager to placate a scrupulous principal
(sorry, ....scrupulous principal is an anachronism, I know).

I can't quite gauge this Bush's sincerity, but it has the outward appearance of a nearly well-executed acting job....I don't want to condemn him unequivocally, but......

I do know that Dub's father was the devil incarnate as I watched his televised announcement of Desert (Exxon) Storm way back when, blood fairly dripping from his wretched and cruel (read my) lips as they pronounced the words, cruise missile, Baghdad, and Saddam Hussein over and over again.

Well, ....even aside from Bush the younger's unfortunate resemblance to Bundy the Florida fry-boy, the whole scenario is inconceivable anyway.

In order for the happy fairy tale to come to pass, the man of God Bush would have to betray his global elite masters and set the New World Order on its ear. He would be shot first. Naw, the fairy tale won't happen.

Listen to Daddy now, "...Nope. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent...,"
