What is Energy Profile? Elongated "Y"-shaped titanium chambers running from the binding toe and heel areas out toward the tip and tail. The shape of the chambers increases torsional rigidity and power in the ski, improves pressure distribution. Used on the P40 F1 Race Carver, P40 RC Racing, and P40 SL Racing.

Exclusive to Völkl! What is 3D Sidecut Technology? The use of a new 3D design program that precisely matches the ski's flex with it's sidecut. We are able to design the sidecut while simulating a ski's natural, Flexed state as in a turn. This is truly different from conventional 2D CAD technology, in which the sidecut is matched to flat circles in 2 dimensions. What Does 3D Do? Full edge contact is created from tip to tail the moment the ski becomes tipped up on edge. As a result, less pressure is required to get the ski into the turn, which translates directly to easier turn initiation. The synergy between flex and sidecut creates uncanny smoothness at all speeds. Bottom line? Versatility, stability, feel, balance, edge grip, and increased power are readily available with less effort. So What? If your customers want skis that deliver higher performance through greater style, stability, and control, then they want 3D. They want their skis to work for them. 3D sidecuts are similar to anti-lock brakes or traction control.
