We`ve been in 49 states & I decided I wanted to see the last one Hawaii. My husband had made stop overs there on his trips to & from Korea & wasnt too excited about going there he had only seen the airport. When I make up my mind I generally get what I want.So he said go ahead & make the reservations. I figured after Thankgiving & before Xmas would be a good time to go.I booked us for 7 days.

We left Orlando Fl. flew to chicago & then to Hawaii We were met at the plane & were given a hug & a lei & had our picture taken & then was taken to the Hawaiin villege this was going to be great. Next morning we were given breakfast & a briefing on all the tours we could take. We decided on the circle tour which took all day.

We had a good tour guide he told us all about the island & made it sound interesting. We stop at Sealion park something like SeaWorld & another place where they canned Pineapple, seen where they grow sugar cane & was told how they burn the fields before harvesting it. The next day we explored on our own & spent some time on Waikiki beach. That night we went to see Don Ho He put on a good show for people our age but the young folks seem to enjoy it too.

The next year we came back & went to Kauai & seen the Waimea Canyon state park (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific only smaller)Maui & the big island of Hawaii.

We were lucky to get there in time to see the Iron Man Race which was very interesting.then back to Oahu & seen the Pro Bowl football game. We made two more trips back for the pro games on one of the trips we went back to the big island & tour the volcano areas My husband would love to go back but its just too far & we`re getting too old. My husband will be 81 this month & I`ll be 80 in Feb.

We seen some bad times & good times. We`ve had good health & I`m glad we were able to go to all the places we did. We sure made a lot of Memories. Living in Florida isn`t bad either for 23 yrs the hurricanes have missed us.

SUNNY Florida

PORT ORANGE

We`ve been living in Florida for 23 years & love living here when we moved it was a nice quiet state no hussle or bussle. That was before Disney. The places we visited then were Silver Springs,Sunken Gardens,Cypress Gardens,Marine Land & drove on the Beach at Daytona those places are still great to visit.

Now we have Disney World, Epcot center,M G M Studios,Universal Studios,Sea World,Bush Gardens. We`ve been to them all. Another place to see is the Space center with the Imax Theaters. When the Shuttle goes up we just step out our back door & can see it go off & at night. The whole sky is lit up.

Another great place to see is the Everglades, you can take a shuttle ride thru the glades & see aligators, birds deer & turtles. There are also airboat rides which are a bit noisy. Then there is The keys That ride to Key West is one you won`t forget. On the west coast of Fl.are Naples.Edison`s Home,Ringly`s home. The Gulf of Mexico,St pete`s Beach,Tampa bay the of home the Buccaneers farther north is the Big Bend the quieter part of Fl. Tallahassee Panama City,Pensacola. It`s just a great place to visit or to live.

This year 1998 mother nature has`nt treated Fl too kindly in the Spring we had too much rain causing some flooding then a couple bad tornados that did a lot of damage then came the awful fires. We were lucky this all happened close by but just out of our reach. The keys were hit pretty hard & so was the panhandle from the hurricane. So I`ll keep my fingers crossed & hope our good luck holds out.
