The Dragon Half movie is by far one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Unfortunately it is only two episodes long and does not complete the journey of the little half dragon girl, Mink, to become completely human in order to gain the affection of the idol singer/dragon slayer, Dick Saucer. Sounds complicated, huh? Not really.
A long time ago the king sent one of his best dragon slayers to kill a fearsome red dragon. Instead of killing her the slayer fell in love with her and they were married. The result was Mink, the half red dragon, half human girl. Mink is in love with the handsome idol singer Dick Saucer. Sadly he is also an excellent dragon slayer.

So, after consulting her elf friend, she decides to go on a quest to get the "People Potion" to make herself totally human so that Dick will like her. The king finds out and trys to capture her to use her as a hostage to get her mother, whom he had fallen in love with after he seen how beautiful she was. Princess Vina, his daughter, finds out Mink is in love with Dick and after her people potion and is now trying to kill her in a multitude of odd ways.

This movie makes us of SD extensively. It's so wacky and out there I don't see any other way they could have done it. The music is bouncy and happy, I love the ending song "My Omelette", it don't make much sense and the pictures that go with it are so cute! That's the whole thing with this movie, it's cute. Mink is adorable! The little mouse thing, Mappy, is so fluffy! The dub voices are all kind of high sounding. I've heard the sub is better but the king is so funny in the dub I'm reluctant to check it out. Anyway, the story is good, I just with they would have made more. I'm dying to know how it turns out. Whether Mink will get Dick or not. There are a bunch of manga that I've yet to get, I hear that goes deeper into the story.
