Outlaw: He began as Greg Willis a normal college student. Nothing fancy and rarely got noticed. He was a volunteer at the local SPCA when a visit from Parvo changed his whole life. He quit college and decided to work for the Road Rovers in a whole new area not yet covered: bounty hunting. He's easy and outgoing to anyone willing to be friends with him. He has reddish fur and highlights and looks a lot like Hunter. His experience with Parvo's Cano-Mutator left him immortal. A one in a million calibration that, hopefully, Parvo will never be able to duplicate. He has the ability to heal others as well as himself and he has binocular vision

Silver: He also started out as a human. He was known as Thomas Greystone, an Apache Indian and an ex-FBI agent. His parents died when he was young. He was very close to his sister Susan and fiancee Cathy Sanders. While in the FBI he learned of his siter's murder and took it very hard and started becoming a drunk, which soon got him fired and Cathy to walk away. He soon became a drifter until he met Outlaw and finally got purpose back into his life. The rift between him and Cathy has healed somewhat. By an accident he was transformed into Silver the coyote. He has grey, almost silver fur with white along the muzzle and tail. Being an Indian he was good at tracking. Now as Silver he can see and smell tracks that have long since erroded.

Wesley Hawk: The only human member of the team, Wesley is a literal genius. He's an expert computer programmer, mechanic, technition and inventor. He used to work for his father's company, until his father took the credit for something he invented. They got into a heated argument and Wesley stormed out and quit to go work for Microsoft. He was kidnapped by General Parvo to work on his computer systems. The Rover's rescued him and he soon found his way onto Outlaw's team. He has become a valuble asset to the team. His best invention is a changeling/cloaker belt.

"Wesley, your a genius." Wesley: "I keep telling you that."

Beowulf: A Great Dane who lived on a farm in New York. After his family's house burned down during a bad winter he wandered around for a while until he was chosen by the Master and became a Rover operative. A run-in with one of Parvo's mutants cost him his eye and almost his life. He learned about Outlaw and decided to join his team. His Rover superpower is a Sonic Boom clap which hurts the ears of the target. He has light tan fur with black on the muzzle.

Beowulf: "Some people say I lack patience. Well maybe they're right. Because right now I FEEL LIKE MANGLING YOU INTO SOMETHING A FELO-MUTANT WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE AS A FURRBALL!!" Outlaw: "Funny thing is, he isn't even mad yet."

Saphire: A Siberian Husky from Alaska. Saphire was a sled dog for an Alaskan bounty hunter when an avalanche perposely set off left her the only survivor. She wandered the barren landscape hungry and cold until the Rovers took her in. With their help she brought the criminal to justice and followed in her master's footsteps as a bounty hunter. By chance she and Outlaw met at a restaurant and the two hit it off quickly and they were soon married. She has dark black fur with white along the muzzle on down her tail and around her eyes. Her eyes are deep blue. Her Rover superpower is flight and x-ray vision.

Buck: Son of Outlaw and Saphire. Have not figured a description for him yet, pending whatever artwork comes along. Second only to Wesley in his expertise in technical ability. His superpower is shapeshifting.

Jasmine: Daughter of Outlaw and Saphire, same with her. Taught by Colleen herself in the martial arts, she's become a one woman army. Her superpower is heat and freeze breath.

Chance: Originally a high school student named Riley McKnight, he was transformed into Chance by the same chemicals that turned Tom Greystone into Silver. Chance is a black wolf with greyish highlights. His superpower is mind control

Athena: Like Chance, Athena was also a high school student named Colleen Frazier. Turned into a collie and could pass for Colleen's sister. Her superpower is an enhanced fighting ability

Name: BJ

Breed: Malamute/wolf mix

Origin: Mars

2333 - 2376

BJ is the direct descendant of Bear from the Grizzly Strayers, however he does not like being reminded of that fact. His parents were killed in crossfire during a riot, leaving BJ parentless. He lived on the streets refusing any charity and constantly getting into trouble. By the time he was a young adult he had amassed quite a criminal record. It is around this time that BJ was sentenced to the Federation Space Marines by a judge who thought it would whip him into shape. (a la Cooper Hawkes from Space: Above & Beyond) He was forced to join just as the Terran Federation was going to war with a cat-like warrior race called the Kzatti. He was responsible for personally taking out the Kzatti flagship killing many warriors; and this fact alone gained him many enemies in the Kzatti Empire who wanted him dead. The war with the Kzatti affected him deeply. When his squad took part in the liberation of Marconis Prime he helped a beaten and starving little girl named Molly Tsu get medical attention. However she did not pull through and died while BJ was carrying her on his shoulders and could not bring himself to put her down for over an hour. He personally buried her in what became known as the Marconis Prime War Memeorial Park. Near the end of the war he was assigned to a newly constructed ship where he met his future wife Raven and took an instant liking to her. They married a few years after the war and he started the Wildcard Freelance Team. They do just about anything but mostly they haul cargo from system to system. BJ royally hates being reminded of his past relative Bear and actually claimed it felt good to punch him dead in the face when they actually met in a time accident. His time with the Space Marines has whiped him into shape and he's now on the level.

BJ is regarded as a hero for the many times he has come through for the Federation. He stopped the KH Empire invasion, fought for the alternate universe, single-handedly ended the Yuva'zag Invasion and helped to finally destroy the GONV Forces. In the battle to stop the GONV, he lead an assault team into the Death Moon. GONV General Xenj however got ahold of him and snapped his neck, killing him. In the world of the Interstellar Federation he is regarded as a hero for freedom and a statue of him, Raven and little Molly stands in front of Lancer Headquarter, the IF equivolent of the Spacefleet on Marconis Prime.

Name: Miles

Breed: Collie

Origin: Proxima IV

Miles is the direct descendant of Colleen from the original Road Rovers. He met BJ when he joined up with the Space Marines and tried to make friends with him, but it wasn't easy. After their experiences in the war they became good friends. He became the conn operator on their ship. When the Interstellar Federation was founded he was chosen to command the Lancer's and served until he retired.

Name: Tundra

Breed: Siberian Tiger

Origin: Mitak VII

Tundra joined up with BJ and Miles. He grew up on the world of Mitak VII, a planet very similar to the tigers original hunting grounds. He and his sister Arctic were very close and hunted snow deer together, but on her first hunt Arctic fell and shattered her leg. Tundra reluctantly left her behind to get help but by the time he got back she was dead. Because of this Tundra felt extreme guilt over her death and soon after joined the marines. He still carried the guilt for years after and drank alcohol heavily, always ending up in some holding cell. But he always comes through for the other Wildcards and was the ships weapons officer. During the Bio-Tech war he helped to liberate Mitak VII from GONV Forces and helped GONV General Slaughter remember who he really was. After Mrr'tas's stint as President of the IF, the two married and had three children on New Jrr'kafi.

Name: Rif

Breed: Red Fox

Origin: Katina IV

Rif was a fighter pilot during the Federation's try to retake Zeta Gadni II. He was XO of his fighter squadron, the 201st, and based in the Deneb system before the war. He crash landed on the planet and joined up with BJ's squad after being rescued. He was the ship's communications officer. During the Bio-Tech war he took command of 21st Fighter Squadron, the Grizzlies. He and his squadron served with distinction in the war. At the Route of Marconis Prime, Rif lost his right arm and had it replaced with a bio-mechanical one, which came as a shock to the other Wildcards whom he didn't tell until later. He later became head of IF Starfighter Command.

Name: Leroy

Breed: Doberman

Origin: Sirius IV

Leroy is the direct descendant of Blitz from the original Road Rovers. However Leroy does NOT bite tooshies and is disgusted with even thinking about it. He joined up with BJ's squad and was on hand during the liberation of Marconis Prime. He was the ship's sensor officer. During the Bio-Tech war he served as Rif's XO for the Grizzlies. Years later he commanded the squadron until his retirement.

Name: Raven

Breed: Wolf

Origin: Altair IV

Raven was introduced late in the war when assigned to the new ship BJ was also on. She is a direct descendant of Nitro's sister Kisna. She trained to be a nurse with her mother on Altair IV but the Kzatti War curtailed that activity. Raven worked as the ship's medic. She later gave birth to a son she and BJ named Jayven and shared BJ's fate on the Death Moon.

Name: Steven DeFalco

Origin: Earth

A human male caucasian, Steven is a descendant of Wesley Hawk's sister Caroline. He was the ship's chief engineer. He grew up on Earth to parents of diplomats but had a knack for engineering at an early age. Following the Bio-Tech war he followed his father by entering the Diplomatic Corps and became the Terran Federation Ambassador to the Aruuni.

Name: Mrr'tas

Species: Kzatti

Origin: Jrr'kafi IX

A young Kzatti female in about her early 20's, Mrr'tas was captured a couple years earlier by the Cutani. She escaped in a small ship and began stealing food from a Cutani agricultural colony for several months before being pursued by Cutani officials. She found herself on Captain BJ's ship. Her brother was a crewmember of the flagship BJ destroyed during the war and took an instant disliking to him. In the old day's she would be obligated to kill him on the spot, but she declined and said the old ways were no longer relavent. She was taken captive by a Cutani bounty hunter but was rescued by BJ and his crew. She was very grateful and owed BJ a debt. She then joined the Wildcards. It was never confirmed but it seemed that she and Maverick became romantically involved. During the Bio-Tech war she joined with Maverick and Tim as a special operations group. Immediatly following the destruction of the Death Moon, she was offered to become the first president of the Interstellar Federation. Understandibly shocked she accepted the position and served for five years as the first president. Following that she married Tundra and they had three children together.

Name: Maverick

Breed: Mongrel

Origin: Classified

Maverick is the direct descendant of Striker and Phoenix of Unit Strike. Has creme colored fur, collie-type ears and a husky-type tail. He performed black ops during the Kzatti War and is fluent in the Kzatti language. It's recently been discovered that he worked for Federation security's "Section 13", a once thought myth by most people in the Federation. They deal with threats most people never know about. Maverick was very high up in that organization and had the rank of Colonel. He took charge of a small group of operatives during the Bio-Tech war and was killed by GONV General Xenj aboard the Death Moon. His last words to Mrr'tas being "I love you."

Name: Tim London

Origin: Alternate dimension, Earth

Known in our universe as the Lieutenant of BJ's Space Marine squad, he was killed in the final battle against the Kzatti. Born to a life of slavery in the alternate universe Tim joined the rebellion against the KH/Kzatti Alliance and became head of security aboard the renamed Striker Station. After their services were no longer needed he sent the Wildcards back to their own universe and declared he was staying. BJ readily accepted him into the Wildcards, making the team an even number. During the Bio-Tech war he served on Maverick's team. When it was found out that Gonv Forces were building an artificial wormhole to the alternate universe, he raced to shut it down himself. Krr'lak himself was coming through, whom he feared, and he had the disticnt pleasure of being his slave before joining the rebellion. Using an antimatter bomb, Tim fly his shuttle into the wormhole detonating the antimatter and taking Krr'lak with him.

Name: Cairo

Breed: Lion

Origin: Kappa Epsilon III

Cairo grew up in one of the few colonies that failed. A civil war tore through the colony and Cairo escaped on the last shuttle out. It was declared a failed colony shortly after and Cairo was sold in Bruno Leslie's clutches.

Name: Goliath

Breed: Irish Wolfhound

Origin: Menkara III

After attending college on Zander II, Goliath stayed for a few years before being captured by Bruno Leslie's slave ring on Otar II where he met Cairo and later Tundra. They were being forced to work under brutal conditions by a man who believed all sapiens should work for, not beside, humans. They both accepted their fate and told Tundra to do the same. After Maverick rescued the entire lot, the two of them set off together and soon found themselves at the Castor IX surplus depot. They rescued an old runner type ship and rebuilt it naming it the ECLIPSE. They then set about forming a crew. As the Bio-Tech war started the crew of the ECLIPSE was reported as lost, but what really happened was a GONV Space Wasp attached to their ship and fried the ships systems, sending them hurtling 20 years into the future. Both Cairo and Goliath entered the Lancers program and served with distiction.

Species: Raccoon

Origin: New Shepherd

Ever since the evacuation of their original home, Link had an adventure spirit to explore space. He got the chance when the ECLIPSE visited the New Shepherdian's new home. He did not feel like waiting out years at the academy and joined Cairo's team. After returning from 20 years out of time, Link found out he was considered a hero by his people as the first New Shepherdian to explore space. His fame eventually got him the position of First Minister.

Name: Gina Wrobleski

Origin: Deep space aboard the pocket carrier T.F.S. RENDOVA

Gina was born and grew up on the RENDOVA which went throughout the Federation making appearances. The ships line was decommissioned shortly before the Kzatti War and her father, James Wrobleski, transferred to the LEXINGTON. He would become BJ's flight commander during the Kzatti War. After the Kzatti War Gina got a job at the Castor IX depot where she met Cairo and Goliath and joined his growing team. When returning after 20 year she joined the Lancers ground troops and retired years later as a colonel.

Name: Kana

Species: Drarmai

Origin: Gyrlok

Kana was born on the very first colony her people colonized. She was in the crowd that welcomed the Wildcards and celebrated First Contact. She had an urge to explore beyond what little space her people had explored and joined Cairo's teams when they visited her world. She was hailed a hero by her people when the Sun Flames returned and soon was elected as the first female High Leader.

Name: Rex Sinclair

Origin: Deep space aboard the battleship T.F.S. WARSAW

A starship engineer for 30 years, Rex served on at least a dozen ships during his career. The last was as Chief Engineer on the newly commissioned STRIKER. He retired shortly after the Yuva'zag invasion and soon found himself on Cairo's team. He became an engineer for himself. After returning he became Dean of the Marconis University of Technology and kept the position until his death.

Bengal: A product of General Parvo, Bengal resembles an extinct sabertooth cat, or smilodon, with a lions mane. Parvo somehow got his hands on smilodon DNA, mixed it with lion DNA and got Bengal. Rather than serve as Parvo's slave, he rebeled against him, taking out most of his base in the process and running into the arms of Bear and the Grizzly Strayers. With them as his sponsor he entered the Rover Academy and graduated with high honors to become the radar/sonar officer aboard the U.S.S. Retriever. Bengal has a strong sense of justice, despises evildoers and has been known to be a hothead, a trait he is working hard to overcome. He's genuinely puzzled by the looks of fear some humans give him but understands perfectly that its his saberteeth they fear. When Bowser stood down as captain, Emerald named him first officer, and upon her death, assumed command.

Tex McCoy: Growing up in the rural parts of the south along the Georgia/South Carolina border Tex McCoy is the son of former klansmen, and has always hated his parents segregationist ways. When he was old enough he enrolled into the Marine Corps and soon took command of an experimental platoon of Cano and Felo- sapien soldiers, assigned to the Retriever. When the ship was engaged in battle, Tex was knocked into a transdogmafier and transformed into a cano-sapien, specifially a Carolina Dog. Shocked by his sudden change he was allowed extra time off-duty to come to terms. When he informed his parents however they disowned him on the spot and wanted nothing more to do with him. Tex returned to duty, married fellow cano soldier Cobalt, a husky, and rose quickly in the ranks, transfering his unit from the Marines to the Pouncers. When Cobalt became pregnant, they transferred off and Tex took the position of commandant of the Rover Academy annex in Australia.

Kenai: A male Grizzly bear, Kenai was orphaned as a cub when General Parvo used his mother as a test subject for his new Ursa-Mutants. He was rescued by Outlaw and the Maddogs, raised at Mission Control, and went through the transformation process as well; the first "Ursa-Sapien" to enter the Rover Academy. Upon graduation he was assigned the U.S.S. Retriever as ordnance chief. Woe to anyone who crosses Kenai, for he has an explosive temper even more volatile than Bengal.

Bowser: A male St. Bernard, Bowser was the first captain to command the ship. Until recently, he was estranged from his son, Butch, a fighter pilot assigned to the ship. They have since mended their relationship. Despite the fact that the Retriever has been hijacked by terrorist three times, and sunk once, Bowser was given a promotion to commandant of the Rover, Strayer and Pouncer Academy.

An experimental team of bears charged with protecting the frozen north from those who would spoil it's natural beauty.

Iceberg, a male polar bear. When he brings his paws together they form a lightsaber-like sword.

Togiak and Chiniak, male grizzly bear siblings, always bickering whenever they get the chance. Togiak's power is the ability to create energy missiles out of snowballs. Chiniak has the same ability but with icicles. Chiniak later learned computer skills from Corsair of Unit Strike and he's put those skills to good use.

Katmai, a male black bear who can knock down opponents from across the room with his telekinetic punch

Kiska, a female grizzly bear with the power to create auroral energy. She was always persued by Togiak and Chiniak, but instead became close to Yukon.

Yukon, originally Russell Watkins an oil pipeline worker who discovered a base of General Parvo's. Instead of a canine, he was turned into a male grizzly bear; he can create blizzard force winds. He escaped Parvo's base with fellow prisoner Adak and joined the Ursa Majors as Yukon. Following an incident with his ex-wife and son he became close with Kiska, and considers Adak a great friend.

Adak, a male Arctic Fox, his power is the ability to disappear in snow and reappear in a different area of snow. A Rover operative captured by Parvo, he joined the Ursa Majors at Yukon's insistence and is usally seen riding on his shoulder.
