Astro City Family Album

Astro City is a most unusual book. It has no one central character. In fact, the only thing in every issue is Astro City itself. This collection of stories are quite impressive and because of the way the series is set up, you need to know nothing about the previous mini-series or issues.

This TPB covers issues 1-3 and 10-13 of the regular Astro City series. Issue one is about a family who has just moved to Astro City and suddenly in hte middle of a war between a storm god and some local heroes. 2 and 3 is about a little girl who is part of the First Family and how she leaves her protected life. 10 is about a man who commits perfect crimes and why he comes back. 11 and 12 is about the origin of Jack-in-the-Box . 13 is the life of a cartoon charater made real and immortal in the 40's and his ups and downs.

As you can see there is a lot of variety to this book. The writing is sharp and the art is very detailed. The stories are very interesting and I fully recommend adding this TPB to your collection.
