OK, you might look and see the 5 star and wonder why this got such a high rating while other good books only get 3 or 4 stars. Its simple really, this book is just a lot of fun to read and I can look past the flaws. First off, the art. This is how the series became famous and it is easy to see why. Every panel explodes with action, the characters are extremely detailed, the facial expressions are perfect, there is so much detail you can read it a dozen times and still see new stuff.

The story is fun to read, the kids learing to cope with new powers and beat the bad guys. I liked all the characterization, something most books, especially image books, really lack. Everybody, good and bad guys, have full personallities and Its like you know who they are.

The problems are minor. The story really jumps around when moving from one issue to the next. There is a lot of action which is quite different from the regular series where there is almost none and the team is usually not in costume. If you like lots of action then this TPB is for you. If not, steer clear. But I really loved this TPB and fully recommend it, especially for the price, only 12.99.
