Project A-KO is an example of light anime. It is funny, action packed, and reletively non violent. Much like Ranma 1/2, it features crazy characters and funny situations. The emphisis is on humor, not on bone crunching action. There is a lot of cartoon violence where nobody really gets hurt.
The humor really drives the film. Take the would be assassin who keeps getting blown up like Wiley E. Coyote. Or the constant fighting between A-KO and B-KO. Classic. The movie is 12 years old and has not aged a day. There are also Project A-KO 2, 3, and 4. I have also heard of Project A-KO vs. Grey Side and vs. Blue Side on websites but I myself have never seen them in stores.
