Angela has always wanted to be a police investigator. Even though she was born a mutant with blue hair and elf-ears, she believe she could do it if she put her mind to it. Her parents were killed in a car accident when she was five, she does not remember them. She lived in a Los Angeles orphanage until she was eighteen and then enrolled in the police academy. Kieran learned that he was a mutant when he was fourteen. He grew up on the streets of LA and saw alot of problems between humans and mutants, so he decided he wanted to be a police officer to make a difference. He went to the police academy and graduated in the same class as Angela. They worked their way up for the past few years as partners and they are now the head officers in the newly formed mutant investigations division. They have recently been given the job of tracking down a killer named Komodo. Their only lead is that he kills people who are anti-mutant. Their search is leading them far from Los Angeles but they won't stop until they have him in custody.
