Another Walden researcher writes:  "I have spent a lot of time researching
the ancestors of Samuel Cramer Walden over the past 5 years and I believe 
that someone is mistaken when they state that Elisha Walden, son of Samuel
Walden and Mary Dismukes, married Mary Phillips.
    Elijah (not Elisha) Walden b Aug 24 1762, married Mary Phillips.
According to Elijah's Rev War pension application, of which I have a copy,
his father's name was John.
    Va. land grants, book 42, page 602, lists the children of Theophilus
Phillips and the spouses of his married children.  It names Elijah Walden as 
the husband of Mary.
    Elijah died in Adams Co OH Feb 17, 1833.  Mary died in Adams Co OH
Jan 3, 1826.  They are buried at the Copas Cemetary in Adams Co OH, 2
miles east of Lynx OH.
    I suspect that Samuel Walden who died in 1771 may be somehow related
to Elijah but I have not been able to make a connection.
    I am happy to share the info that I have with anyone who is interested.
    I would also be interested in any possible leads as to the identity
of John, the father of Elijah Walden.  Also, does anyone have any
information on Benjamin Walden of Fayette Co PA (1790 census)?"
