Info.......

Matthew was born November 4, 1969 in Uvalde, Texas. He later moved and grew up in Longview, Texas. He has two brothers, Rooster and Pat, and mother K-Mac, as they call her. His father died in 1993. He says this is what made up his mind he would be an actor for sure and gave him a boost to carry on his family name. After high school he went to Austraila in an exchange program for a year. Matthew says this is one of the worst choices he's made. After he returned from Austaila he enrolled in the University of Texes at Austin to become a lawyer. After leafing through law books and reading his favorite book, "The Greatest Salesman in the World" he changed his major to film. Before starring in his first film, "Dazed and Confused", he took anything he could including an Unsolved Mysteries episode, beer comercial, and a music video. He auditioned for Wooderson in "Dazed and Confused", but the director thought Mattthew was too cute to be Wooderson. So Matthew got a hair cut, grew a mustache and the rest is history!
