Return of the Jedi was the big closer of the Star Wars trilogy. In 83' it got a higher ranking than A New Hope in highest grossing movies (until the special editions came out). The three action sequences at the end of this movie could stand alone in a movie. They didn't need to have them all happening at the same time, now thats a movie. Jedi ended the Star Wars trilogy, but I don't think that any movie could end the fan following and devotion towards the story. The force lives on.
