Big Stu's Descriptions |
Baretta M92F: Lethal hand gun that fires one bullet at a time. Silencer may be attached. |
Baretta M92F: The game's basic weapon; it fires one round straight ahead (before long it will become your best friend) |
Ingram MAC-11: Semi-Automatic submachine gun with continuous fire. Silencer may be attached. |
Ingram MAC-11: A lot like the Baretta except it sprays a constant stream of bullets all over the place. Since it's not all that accurate, the MAC-11's only use is to take out a bunch of enemies at one time. |
Grenade Launcher: Its name says it all. |
Grenade Launcher: Fires a grenade overhead which lands on the cross-hairs on your screen. It's only useful against the Twin Shot. |
Rocket Launcher: Speaks for itself as well. |
Rocket Launcher: Fires a powerful rocket straight ahead. Needed to defeat the Arnolds and Big Boss. Can only be obtained by Jennifer. |
Silencer: Attach to Baretta or submachine gun, to keep your mission hush-hush. |
Silencer: EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! Unless you have a silencer, the enemies will hear you every time you take a shot. Only works on the Baretta and MAC-11. |
Plastic Explosives: Explodes with timer when set. |
Plastic Explosives: Lay them on the ground and a few seconds later they will explode. Needed to blow up the main Metal Gear computer at the end of the game. |
Remote Control Missile: Can be guided with Control Pad. Note: you cannot move while controlling missile. |
Remote Control Missle: Needed to blow up the switches near the heat panels (and works well against the Shotgunner ). After a missile is fired, you use the D-pad to control it (which leaves Snake standing perfectly still - Don't use it in a congested area). |
Mine: You may set these mines in key locations. Up to 3 mines allowed on each screen. |
Mine: The first weapon you will find in the game, mines can be used to blow up the tank in the northern area of the jungle (although there are other ways of getting arouind the tank....). |
