Your next question is: What all happens at the DRAGSTRIP? We run 3 classes of cars at our 1/8 mile strip. Pro class (7.49 sec and faster), Sportsman class (7.50 sec or slower), and Street Tire class. We are currently attempting to establish a Junior Dragster class. We have two "big" events in our racing season. We stage the Nostalgia Funny Car Shootout using members of the International Blown Alcohol Association racers in July. In August the Jet Cars take center stage with their awesome display of firepower. We also have 5 nights of "Operation Street Legal" Drag Fun Nights to encourage any local street racers to try a racetrack environment instead of a city street. As long as the sun shines (and it does) we hope to have a great season of racing in 1999.
