Variable speed break system (tandem) using
two digital controlled Simoregk (Siemens)
thyristor bridges (500 A each), to accomplish
an electrical break system of 512 kW in total.
The braking power of the measured turbine
will be fitted through
the 4-quadrant converter, back in the main.
