(Sorry if I used Eagle-kun's pic; my scanner broke down.) Erie Resurreccion may be said by a lot of people to be the perfect guy to do the voice of the kind-hearted but intense Autozamian crown prince Eagle Vision. Optimistic, at times obstinate, Erie gives Eagle a sort of worldly-wise tone that makes him sound older, more mature than he appears to be. Originally, in keeping with the original Japanese series, a girl (In this case Aya Blanco [Luce/Hikaru's voice in the series] would have done double-duty.) would have done Eagle's voice. But director Danny Mandia wanted Eagle to sound grown-up and responsible instead of fourteenish and impulsive, and Erie was cast in as the prince from Autozam. Twenty-four-year-old Erie has been dubbing since 1993 when he did the voice of Captain Hook in the Filipino adaptation of "Peter Pan". His most recent dub-job is this month's full-length anime feature film "Ghost Fighter" (Yu-Yu Hakusho) where he did the voice of Eugene (Yuusuke). Erie is also a member of the Tanghalang Pilipino and the Gantimpala Theater Foundation and has appeared in a number of television shows on ABS-CBN and commercials. He'll be launching his solo singing career when he graduates in the summer of 1998, managed by a creative team aptly named - get this!!! - Autozam Creatives, Inc.
