The Supreme Yil of Cephiro

Most powerful of the sorcerers of Cephiro, Clef holds the position of Supreme Yil, chief adviser to the Pillar.

Being able to do just about everything from summoning seijyu to rendering people senseless with one spell, he is a formidable opponent for all the lesser sorcerers.

But, even Clef has an Achilles' heel. When Presea falls ill after creating the weapons of the Magic Knights, he finds himself worrying about her and is thus captured by his former student Sol Zagato.

Guru Clef

He's small, he's infantile, but you have to admit that he's one heck of a magician.

At 745 years of age (Does he go for face lifts?), Clef has the face and body of a ten year old child. (Very bad, very bad...) Yet, he knows all the tricks of the trade when it comes to sorcery.

Clef has always been a one-midget (Oops, er, we mean ONE-MAN!) university for the arcane arts. Just about everyone from Zagato to Alcione to Lantis to the Magic Knights has been under his tutelege. Amazingly, they always take him seriously. (But why?!?)

Oh, and another thing, the horn isn't a physical part of Clef's anatomy. It's the badge of his rank and it's a part of the circlet he wears on his head. So there.

Has Clef Ever Thought of Getting Married?

Okay, so everyone has always thought that he had the hots for Umi. Umi, though, has always referred to him as a pervert! (Hey, if you were repressed for seven centuries, you'd be one, right?) Actually, if you've seen Book Three of the manga's second series, you'd see that Presea's the one who does the worrying over Clef. (Uh, but Presea's so tall... How in the world would he... never mind.)
