For windows I recomend the HEX & Text-editor SynEdit. With syntax highlighting support for 37 programming languages as well as a hex editor, tabbed multiple-document editing environment and a host of other features, SynEdit is easily the most comprehensive freeware editing package available.

EFTP is a 32bit combined Client/Server incorporates up to 448 bit blowfish encryption and the FTP protocol (RFC 959 implementation) to provide secure file transfers over TCP/IP based networks (The Internet). EFTP works 100% with other FTP Clients/Servers in non-encrypted mode, and provides strong encryption when the remote and local hosts both use EFTP. EFTP is FreeWare and Source Code is avalible.

Token 2 is a great Telnet client program. It supports VT100/ANSI terminal modes and user may even re-map keyboard values. It can also connect to COM port directly in RS-232 or RS-485 mode and supports ZModem transfer over Internet and dial-up modem. Token 2 also supports local printing, and has ability to capture and display the communication stream in real-time. It also can properly handle two-byte characters, such as Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Token 2 can be used with wide variety of proxy/firewall servers. It supports WinGate type TIS, SOCKS4, SOCKS5 and SOCKS5 with username/password authentication.
