DINNER TIME

     “Dinner’s ready, bring the kids.”

     “I hope you have something different for a change.”

     “Sorry, same old thing.”

     “Aw Mother, we’re tired of it,” said the eldest.

     “Well, why doesn’t one of you volunteer to get the food,”  she answered.

 There was grumbling and grunting as they began  to eat.

      “This really isn’t very appetizing.  I’d like chicken or turkey for a change,” father said while chewing loudly.

     “Me too,” said the youngest.

     “I’ll see what I can do,” she rumbled, spouting fire.  “But let me tell you, there’s a lot more of these humans
around than chickens.”
