MISS CAPTIAL REGION SCHOLARSHIP ORGANIZATION

The Miss America Program is the largest source of scholarships for women in the world, making more than $32 million available annually on the local, state and national levels.

As an official preliminary to the Miss America and Miss New York State Scholarship pageants, the Miss Capital Region Scholarship Organization brings these scholarship opportunities to the young women of the Capital Region. The program is organized and run by volunteers who receive no financial compensation or salary for their time or services.

Contestants must be between 17 and 24 years old, single and never married, and live, work or attend school/college within the Franchise Area of the Capital Region which includes the following counties: Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Columbia, Greene, Fulton, Montgomery, Hamilton, Dutchess, and Ulster. Contestants compete in Talent (40%), Interview (30%), Swimsuit (15%) and Evening Wear (15%).

Miss Capital Region is an accomplished speaker, fundraiser and performer. She is available to speak about her platform and the Miss America Program at luncheons, meetings, banquets and dinners. She is also available for special events, fundraisers, telethons, grand openings, parades, and for advertising, commercials, in-store promotions or in a public relations capacity for an organization or business.
