Cancer...Does that word scare the heck out of you. Well that's a reason to join our newsgroup. This news group was started because there is not enough help out there for people with cancer or their families.

Hi, My name is Missy and I started the news group because people with cancer don't get the emotional support they need until unfortunately they are told they are terminal. Then and only then are they given Hospice, which is a wonderful organization, but why can't there be a place for people who aren't terminal to go with their problems. I want it known that in no way, shape, or form am I ripping Hospice. I think it is a wonderful organization. I wanted a place where people would remain anoymous and could come and discuss how they are feeling. They can come in and talk about the emotional side of cancer and the physical side.

Cancer can destroy a family along with the member that has the cancer. The problem comes in to when they try and discuss what they are feeling. If one person is still in denial about the cancer, the lines of communications are shut down until that person comes out of denial.

This group will also be for the victim's family. Let's be honest, there isn't a single person out there who hasn't gotten mad at a family member with cancer for one stupid reason or another...from not remembering to take their vitmin in the morning to feeling like they have given up the fight to live because they didn't take the vitamin that morning. This group will be open to any discussion about cancer and the affects on a person's life (any aspect).
