Your on the Scoreboards

If you beat Washington DC 2 times in a row on hard , your name will appear on every score board, and you will also have a choice to be the Jeep.

Lights and sounds:

1. Get name on the hot list and then scroll left untill the man's head rolls by.
2. Select either Police car or Bus
3. Then when racing hit brake, brake, gas and hold. It must be done quickly.
On the police car the lights and sirens go on. while on the school bus. the lights in the rear flash.

Faster Car Cheat

Usually when you start a 2-player race across the US only 1 person gets the upgrade. BUT, when 1 person selects 1 save file and the 2nd person picks another, you can stop that! First pick different save files. Pick different cars next. Finally,race up to Washington DC. Pause and Quit the race then RESET (do not turn off and on!) the machine. Re-enter the game using the files used in the the 2-player game Finish the race with both cars and you will have 2 upgrades!

Nitro Boost

Get your name on the "Hot Lists", scroll to the bottom of the list, and hold left for about 35 seconds until the head comes rolling across the screen. Using any car in any race, you can now get a Nitrous Boost by press Brake, Brake, Brake, Gas, Brake, Gas. You can only use this once for every checkpoint passed.

Select your course

By doing this cheat, you'll have access to three of the levels that you race on when you "Cruise the USA," these tracks are not selectable from the main menu. The first thing you must do is go to the course select screen. Now hold down these button combinations:

Golden Gate Park - Left C, Bottom C and L (on top of the controller)
Indiana - Top C, Right C and L (on top of the controller)
San Francisco - Right C, Bottom C and L (on top of the controller)

Use Secret Cars

As with the arcade version of Cruis'n USA, you can select from a Jeep, Police Car and School buss. Now hold down Top C, Left C and Bottom C all at the same time and you will be able to select these cars.
