Mobjack National Championship Regatta

Official Notice of Race
and invitation for all Mobjack sailors to gather....

Three days of non-stop fun, right off the beach on Willoughby Bay south of Hampton Roads.
Headquarters is the Days Inn - Marina near I-64 and east end of the Hampton Bridge/Tunnel.
There is a beach and swimming pool.  The boat ramp is immediately to the east at Willoughby Marina.
The sailing can be viewed from the beach, the race course is real close to the launching area.

    Thursday, August 13, 1998   3pm Practice Race
                                                2-6 pm Registration
                                                6-8 pm  Welcome Party
    Friday, August 14, 1998        Continental Breakfast
                                                9:30 am Skippers Meeting
                                                11:00 am First Warning Signal
                                                followed by lunch on the water
                                                followed by a second race
                                                followied by refreshments
                                                6pm cookout at Day Inn on the beach

    Saturday, August 15, 1998   Continental Breakfast
                                                9:30 am Skippers Meeting
                                                11 am First Warning Signal
                                                followed by lunch on the water
                                                followed by a second race
                                                followed by refreshments
                                                7pm Seafood Buffet

    Sunday, August 16, 1998    Sunrise services led by Rev. Mark Arnold who will be praying for wind!
                                               Continental Breakfast
                                               9 30 am Skippers Meeting if required
                                               1100 am Warning Signal
                                                followed by refreshments
                                                followed by awards

Special Sailing Instructions will be issued at registration.
The regatta is sanctioned and counts for Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association (CBYRA)
High Point Awards in the Mobjack Class.  CBYRA may be helping support the regatta.
Hosted by Broad Bay Sailing Association with assistance from other clubs and fleets.

Regatta registration:     $98.00 if registered before August 1, 1998 (includes dinners for Skipper and one crew)
                                 $148.00 if registered after August 1, 1998 (includes dinners for Skipper and one crew)
                                     10.00 extra Friday evening cookout
                                     25.00 extra Saturday buffet
                               Tee shirts and other goodies will be available
