Kriing....there goes the bell.

"Whoa..Better hurry up,guys!We're running late!",I said as I slammed the locker shut.

"Yeah,yeah..We're hurrying!The teacher's probably hasn't arrive yet.Chill,Mel!",my friend,Nicky said.

"Houston,we're on our way.Countdown..5..4.." Mary Anne replied sarcastically,with an idiotic expression on her face.

"Ho ho.Veery funny,Mary Anne.Now,move it!"Leesa said, pushing us off.

It was our first day in Sunnydale High,after the long break.So we wanna make a good expression by reaching class on time.As the five of us-me,Nicky,Leesa,Mary Anne and Janie+David,her boyfriend, ran up the stairs,I bumped into someone.

Papers went flying and I almost tumbled over.Luckily, David managed to get a hold of me from the back.

"Yo,you blind or something?Why don't you watch where your going?You almost hurt Melissa!"Leesa came to my rescue while I tried to get up.As I looked up,there was Scott Moffatt,my crush,helping me pick up the papers on the floor.Ignoring Leesa.

"I..I'm so sorry.I didn't mean to..I.."Scott said in a soft voice.

"That's okay."I smiled nervously.As we both reached out for the same paper,our hands brushed.He took the paper and handed it to me with a heart-melting smile.

"Here you go.And sorry.Really."Scott said.

"Thanks.No problem." I smiled as the girls tagged me to class.

As we ran to class,Scott met his brothers and went their separate ays.

As we reached room 201-English class.......

"Haargh!The teacher's not even here yet!"Mary Anne claimed,as she huffed and puffed.

"See!Told ya!"Janie said,as she hugged David goodbye.

"Chill..I'm sure she'll be here any minute..",Nicky said.

Just then,I heard someone talking rather loudly outside. "...Yeah,yeah.We'll see you at lunch time,okay!See ya, Scott."

Three guys entered the room,chatting with each other.

"They look cute," Leesa whispered to me from the back.

It was Clint,Bob and Dave.

"Yeah,sort of.I guess."I said,concentrating on my text book.Suddenly...

"Umm..Excuse me.This seat taken?"Bob asked me,holding the chair next to me.

"It's..ah..well.." I glanced back and chuckled.Leesa had her eyes closed and praying softly so I'd say 'YES'.She has a major crush on Bob for a long time.

"Nah..It's not taken."I said.

"Can I sit here?"he asked.

"It's a free seating!"I said sarcastically and smiled.

"Okay then."Bob smiled,and sat down. Leesa kicked my chair.As I turned around to tell her off,she smiled.

"Nice one,Mel.Thankyouthankyouthankyou!I luv you!Mmuah!"she giggled,obviously happy that Bob was nearby.

"Yeah yeah.Now stop drooling,girl!"I laughed.

Suddenly,a rather plump,middle-aged woman entered the room,with a big handbag on her left arms,and some books n her hands.It was the English teacher.The class went silent and we started learning for the next hour and a half.Time passed by..........

KRIIINGG!!!!

I almost jumped out of my chair."Stupid bell ring.."

I mumbled as I closed my books and headed to the door.

Much to my surprise,there stood Scott,waiting for his brothers.I managed to smile at him.And he waved at me, returning the smile.

"Hi,"Scott greeted me.

"Hi."I said,tucking my bangs behind my ears.

I was waiting for him to say somthing,but the girls dragged me to the cafeteria for lunch.Walking away,

I saw Scott sighing.

Meanwhile,in the cafeteria....

"So how's class?" David asked,holding Janie's hands.

"Fine.I guess."I said,taking sips of my Coke.

"Yeah.Sort of."Mary Anne interuppted.

As the girls were busy gossiping and eating,I managed to look around.And there was Scott,with his brothers and some friends,conquering a table.I continued looking when Scott suddenly gets up with his tray,looking at me.He waved nd smiled,but I quickly turned away.I felt>totally embarrassed when he caught me in the eye.>"Wussup,Mel?"Nicky asked,wondering why I was acting weird.

"Uh..I..I..never mind."I said,still acting wacky.

"Sure.Fine.Whatever."Nicky said as she shot me a weird look.

"Uh,I gotta go to the restroom.Be back in a jiffy,yeah?"I excused myself,as I needed to check on myself.

"Oh,okay.Hurry back!"Janie said,waving.

As I walked to the restroom,I bumped into Scott.

"Whoa!Sorry 'bout that!"I apologized,still feeling embarrassed.

"No problem.." Scott said,grinning as he said that.

Silence.I could tell he wanted to say somthing..but I thought that I really needed to go the restroom.

"Oh,hey..I gotta go.I'll see you around okay?"I said.

"Yeah,sure.Be seeing you.Bye..."Scott replied in a soft voice,smiling.

"Bye.."
