I Used To Call You My Girl.

Sarah looked sweet and wild in her new brown suede top, a dark purple A-line skirt, and a pair of black platform loafers. Her new boyfriend Stephen has his arms around her. He looked sexy with his D & G sweater and trousers; with his long blonde hair was slicked back. They entered the Moffatts' residence where a farewell party for their friend Claire and to celebrate the promising carrier of The Moffatts brothers as a band; they were going to go for their first promo tour in Germany. The house was noisy and full of life as the voice of Scott and Dave Moffatt could be heard singing their hearts out. As they entered the house, all of their friends were dancing to the music. Sarah spotted Claire who was having some punch and looking a little sad. "Hi Claire! Great party, do you feel okay?" Sarah asks. "Yeah, I'm great and…" Claire looked even sadder and hesitated, but since Sarah was her best friend she went on. "I'm going to miss everyone here so much! Especially you and Clint! I really don't want to move." "Aw, Claire, we'll miss you too! But you're only going to Georgia not to Mars or anything! I'm sure you and Clint can still call each other, well he is going to be terribly famous and rich to call you and maybe even visit you in Georgia!" Sarah said as she hugged her best friend. Claire smiled and waved at Clint who was making eye contact to her. "You guys are the best…now go dance with Stephen… he looks too good not to dance with!" Claire said. Sarah walked towards the center of the dance floor and started dancing along with Stephen. As she turned to the little stage, she noticed the guy behind the drums. Bob, he was starring at her. She turned away not wanting to remember her connection with Bob. Bob and Sarah started going out together as friends when Bob noticed her on the first day of junior high. They were much known as the most promising couple in school after that until Sarah decided that they were better off as just friends were when everything started getting hot. Bob was heart-broken and never laid his eyes off Sarah even when she was going out with Stephen. Sarah had minor regrets of what she has done but she was sure that they couldn't handle it to be more than friends couldn't, so she avoided eye contact, phone calls and even from greeting each other in school. After a couple of songs, The Moffatts turned to a slow number, "Girl I'm Gonna Get You" It was Sarah's favorite song. Suddenly she remembered the time when Bob sang it to her on their first date, but for now Scott was handling the vocals for it. Sarah went closer to Stephen and hugged him. Stephen stroked her hair and kissed her fore head. "Are you okay?" Stephen asked noticing the sudden mood change in Sarah. Sarah nodded. Suddenly the drums stopped playing and Bob came down the stage…but the three others continued. Then Bob stood in front of her and Stephen. "Steve, would you mind letting me have this one." Bob said looking up at Stephen who was taller than he was. Stephen didn't look very pleased as he shrugged and allowed Bob to take over. They were standing in the middle of the circle formed. Sarah froze as Bob took her arms and let it go behind his neck as he place his hand on her back. They danced as they gazed into each other's eyes. Sarah remembered those soulful brown eyes of Bob and his sweet smile. She could feel her eyes tearing. "Sarah, its our song…"Bob said as he continued mumbling the words of the song. His deep voice made Sarah a little nervous. "Was our song." Sarah corrected. Bob felt his heart being stabbed by those words. Bob didn't understand why they couldn't make it together, he tried thinking what had he done wrong, everything went fine and suddenly it was over. He was messed up. "What did I do wrong Sarah, what did I do?" Bob asked as he held Sarah tighter. "Nothing, you were fine, I just know we're just not meant to be, I am fond of you Bob as a friend not as a boyfriend, there's nothing special in our relationship Bob, but there is in our friendship if you allow it to happened. I don't want to avoid you anymore, please understand." Sarah explained. Bob looked angry, frustrated and she could see tears weld up in his eyes. He wasn't going to understand and he didn't want to hear the explanations. "But why!" Bob raised his voice a little. "Why? I love you Sarah. Can't you see that? Don't you love me?" Sarah attempted to release Bob's grip, but Bob wouldn't let go. "Let go Bob, let me go." Sarah said. "No I won't let you go, I can't let you go!" Bob yelled as tears rolled down his cheek. Sarah ran out the front door followed by Stephen. She too, was crying. Bob immediately left through the back door. "Sarah, wait up!" Stephen called from behind. Sarah stopped as she fell to the grass and cried uncontrollably. Stephen carried her to his car and they drove off to somewhere quiet to talk. "Sarah its okay. Shh…did he hurt you? You want to tell me what's going on?" Stephen comforted. Sarah shook her head as she held Stephen tighter. "I'm sorry I had to drag you into this…It's just that I can't stand losing Bob as a friend…I don't want to hurt anybody, including you!" Sarah sobbed. Her face was now smudged by her make up. "No, I love you, and whatever happens I'm going to be there and try to understand. Do whatever you think its right. I know how good it is to love you…and if he feels the same way, he should understand…try explaining to him Sarah." Stephen advised as they shared a passionate kiss.

Later that night, Sarah was sitting by the phone. She didn't know what to do…Bob was going to leave tomorrow and only be back in a month or two. If there was something she had to do, she had to do it as quick, as possible. She dialed the phone number. "Hello? This is the Moffatts' residence…" a sleepy voice answered the phone. It was Scott. Sarah could hear him yawn in the background. "Um, hi…this is Sarah here." Sarah said. It was quiet for a while when Scott acknowledged her. "Oh, hi Sarah…well Bob is sleeping right now…and I don't think it's a good time." Sarah sighed. "Well…its okay I guess…thanks anyway…Tell Bob that I…" "Hello?" Bob suddenly answered the phone. Sarah was shocked. "H-Hi Bob." They both felt weird. "Look, Sarah I'm sorry for what happened just now…I couldn't control my feelings…for you. You must be thinking I'm a jerk now." Bob apologized. "No I should apologized for keeping you hanging without a good explanation. I'm sorry for avoiding you, I'm sorry for letting you down. But you have to understand, I feel bad because I know I love you…as a friend and nothing more. I wish I knew what you're going through. Goodbye Bob, I've forgiven you if you need me to forgive you and I hope that you can forgive me." Sarah said quickly and said goodbye. Bob closed his eyes and put the phone upon his chest. Goodbye Sarah. He had lost hope in ever getting close to her. What had he done?

It is five in the evening. Bob was meddling with his backpack while waiting for their call to board the airplane by the gate. Bob took out a silver bracelet from one of the pockets. It was the one given by Sarah. He thought of her. Now he knew what was wrong. It wasn't during the relationship…He couldn't take the fact that Sarah only wanted to be friends. He felt stupid by not accepting it. Although he loved Sarah deeply but Sarah's heart was with Stephen, she was happy with Stephen and now he would do anything to turn back time and continue being friends with her. The first boarding call was heard. Everybody said their good-byes…Clint and Claire was sharing their last kiss for the timing. Claire had tears in her eyes. Scott stood next to him. "Got to go Bob, we need your heart in the music. You should have made things better then, but its not too late now." Claire then looked at him and offered a hug. "Tell Stephen to take care of Sarah okay?" Bob asked. Claire nodded. Suddenly as he looked towards the end at the airport, Sarah was running towards them. She was calling out his name. Bob quickly let go of Claire, dropped his things, ran towards Sarah, and caught her in his arms. Hugging her had never felt good. "I understand now Sarah. I understand what you think is right! I want to make it happen!" Bob said with his voice quivering. Sarah was sobbing a little. "I knew you would. Come back soon okay?" Sarah said. They looked at each other as they kissed. Sarah smiled. Stephen was walking towards them from behind. Bob smiled at him. Dave tapped him on the shoulder and they walked towards the gate…as Bob turned back, Sarah was planting a kiss on Stephen's cheek, and then they both waved at him. Claire and Clint who were back to their 'last kiss' seem to have forgotten about the world. "Hey Clint, let's go, we have got music to play." Bob screamed at the top of his lungs and never felt happier.
