" Hey watch it ! " Kitty exclaimed as she brushed her shoulders . She turned and saw Dave Moffatt walking briskly away . " What a creep ! " she grumbled . " He knocked into me and he didn't even apologise ! " " Forget it , " Nicholas , Kitty's boyfriend said , grabbing her by the arm . " Let's go . "

Kitty scurried in front of Nicholas . Dave's out to piss me , Kitty thought angrily. " Kitty ?!!? " Nicholas exclaimed , trying to catch up with his girlfriend .

" Why you looking so pissed ? " Jolene asked Kitty when they sat down for lunch on Tuesday Afternoon . She unwrapped her brown package of a sandwich .

" You know Dave ? " Kitty asked , biting into her hamburger . She was so hungry she could eat a cow .

" Dave what ? "

" Dave Moffatt , one of the triplets .. "

" Yeah , whassup with him ? " Jolene asked curiously .

" He knocked into me yesterday morning and he didn't even bother to apologise ! " Kitty said in a low , well-kept tone .

" And you're still angry ? Till now ? " Jolene laughed .

" That's not all ! He's been knocking into me and he has never apologised once . And every time I see him , I get bad luck . " Kitty sulked and returned to her hamburger .

" Bad Luck ? Like ? "

" Like tripping over his foot when I walk past him down the corridor , like getting soaked when he spills soup onto me , like .... Anyway , he's a jinx . Don't get close to him , Jo . "

" Oh well , maybe I'll get pissed too , " Jolene said . " He looked cute though , " she added .

" Cute ? " It was Kitty's turn to laugh . " I will never fall in love with someone like him in my entire life ! "

" Kitty , things just happens . " Jolene grinned . She stood up from her seat and grabbed her tray . " Is Nicholas driving you home ? " she asked , tucking her bangs behind her ears .

" He's got basketball practice . " Kitty said .

" I could get Trish to give you a ride , " Jolene offered .

" Thanks . "

The two of them walked to the tray container at the corner of the canteen when they met Dave and one of his triplet brother , Bob . They looked way different .

" Shit . " Kitty whispered .

" Good luck ! You want me to stand in front of you in case he spills soup ? " Jolene laughed . She jumped in front of Kitty . " Thanks budd , I need that ! " Kitty replied sarcastically .

" Hi Dave ! " Jolene greeted cheerfully , placing the grey plastic tray on top of the container .

" Hi ... " Dave smiled .

Suddenly , Jolene tripped over Dave's leg and fell onto Bob as the two of them fell on the greasy floor .

" Oh god , " Jolene mumbled , trying to stand up while Bob layed on the floor still recovering frothe fall . " Yelch , my hands . " Jolene looked at her grease-stained hands . " Sorry Jo , " Bob said as Jolene reached out her hands for his . " Thanks . "

" Sorry , " Dave said apologetically , looking dreamy . Kitty felt like like laughing .

Jolene and Bob stood up and brushed their hands on their clothes .

" Let's go Jo , " Kitty pulled Jolene away from the watching crowd .

" See ya Bob ! " Jolene smiled .
