Series background…
There are some changes to the characters and the designs in Wedding Peach DX compared to the original series. Some of the things are:
Wedding Peach DX takes place one year after the original series; Momoko-tachi (with the exception of Scarlet) are all fourteen years old.
In the beginning, it is shown that all the Ai Tenshi, including Yousuke, Takuruu and Limone/Yanagiba Kazuya, had have their memories of the fight between Akuma and Tenshi erased. In Volume 1, the four Ai Tenshi are given back their memories. Yousuke-tachi, however, still cannot recall anything from the battle with Reine Devila.
Besides given new attacks/weapons, the Ai Tenshi have also had a change in their transformations. No longer is there a two, separate process of transformation with Oironashi; instead one transformation scene takes care of the wedding dress and the battle outfit altogether.
The Ai Tenshi are able to fly, for wings can grow out of the back/side of their outfits.
Note that this isn't a fight between akuma kai and tenshi kai. Aphrodite has explained that some akuma is attacking the human world because they do not like the peace between the akuma and tenshi. The Ai Tenshi's mission is to protect the human world and purify these akuma.
