The loving and caring father of Momoko, Hanasaki-san has been looking after his daughter alone for more than ten years. His wife went away for mysterious reasons, but Hanasaki-san promised his wife, Sakura, that he would take good care of their daughter. He is a professional wedding photographer, and encourage his daughter to be a photographer also. He and Momoko has a wonderful father-daughter relationship.

Hanasaki Sakura is the mother of Momoko. Sakura is not her real name (Celeste is), it was given to her by Shouichirou when he found her unconscious at the beach. This lovely and understanding mother later appeared to Momoko as Celeste and told her the whole story.

Ten or more years ago, Celeste fell from tenshi kai to the human world after a no-win battle with akuma Uragano. A man named Hanasaki Shouichirou was taking pictures of a sea gull when he suddenly caught a glimpse of an unconscious woman lying on the beach. Shouichirou ran to her and asked how she was, Celeste woke up and asked where she was. She had completely lost her memories. Shouichirou took her to the hospital and gave her a name, Sakura. He was always by her side, comforting and encouraging her. Soon they began to date, and not long after, Shouichirou and Sakura married. Two years later, Momoko was born. The whole family was perfect and happy...until one day, Sakura regained her memroies as tenshi Celeste. Even so, Sakura didn't want to leave her beautifiul family. But when tenshi Limone found her and informed Sakura of her older sister Aphrodite's struggle to protect tenshi kai, Sakura knew she had to go. After giving Momoko and Shouichirou each a kiss and a vague promise that she would return, Sakura ran out and disappeared. Shouichirou followed her, but the only thing left from Sakura was their wedding ring...
