Starring international kickboxing champions John Barrett and Keith Vitali, American Kickboxer 1 is an action packed kickboxing film that takes a riveting look behind the scenes of the professional fight game. B.J. Quinn (John Barrett - Chuck Norris's former workout partner and fight/stunt coordinator) the reigning world champion kickboxer, has just won a fight against Chad Hunter (Keith Vitali - former World Karate Champion and "among the ten best fighters of all time") when a freak accident causes him to be jailed and suspended from fighting. Meanwhile, an old rivalry between Chad and Jacques Denard (Brad Morris) erupts into a kickboxing brawl that lands Chad in the hospital. While Quinn frantically trains to peak fitness, Denard publicly challenges him to a showdown. The final battle takes place as the ultimate physical and spiritual test of championship minds and bodies.
