At twenty-seven, Al "Scarface" Capone (Ray Sharkey) brutalized Chicago with booze, bullets and blood. At thirty-two, convicted of income tax evasion, he rules his gangster kingdom from the hot seat in the corrupt Cook County Jail. It's hot action and bomb-ticking suspense, when from behind bars Capone spreads his vice and violence to drugs, unions, rackets, gambling and prostitution - prohibition ends but his organized crime syndicate is more lethal than ever. One lawman stands against him - and Capone orders a hit on FBI Agent Michael Roarke's (Keith Carradine) wife and children. Devastated and alone, Roarke is seduced by the beautiful Jennie (Debrah Farentino), who betrays him to Capone. Roarke's ultimate revenge is to deliver the chained Capone to the new incorruptible federal island dungeon - Alcatraz.
