Grab onto your garlic as writer/director Mel Brooks presents a hauntingly hysterical version of Bram Stoker's Count Dracula. Leslie Nielsen lends his trademark bumbling to his portrayal of the formidable Count, who, between seductions and neck piercings, must avoid the acclaimed authority on vampires, Prof. Van Helsing (Brooks) in this "...inspired, demented comedy" (Gene Shalit, The Today Show). Harvey Korman co-stars as a befuddled insane asylum doctor, along with Peter MacNichol as the Count's insect-munching side-kick, Renfield. Steven Weber, Lysette Anthony and Amy Yasbeck round out the all-star supporting cast in this "biting" satire of the Dracula legend - overflowing with spectacular special effects, steamy sensuality and witty dialog - in the tradition of Brooks' comedy masterpiece Young Frankenstein.
