Matt Salinger (Picket Fences, Power) stars as Peter Kernan, a courageous American relief worker in war-ravaged Thailand. Burned-out and desperate for cash, Kernan is lured into a scheme to smuggle a million dollars' worth of medecine over the border to a brutal warlord's jungle outpost. With his long-time friend, Cambodian refugee Khoy Thoun (Academy Award winner Haing S. Ngor, The Killing Fields) and a beautiful strong willed French Red Cross worker (Sam Jenkins), whose feelings for Peter are complicated by her marriage of convenience to the scheme's mastermind (Michael Ironside), Kernan and his renegade crew soon find themselves outnumbered in a bullet-filled race to deliver the drugs and make it home. Martin Sheen (in his first return to South East Asia since Apocalypse Now) also stars with Michael Nouri.
