The year was 1926. The Roaring Twenties were in full swing and the country was drunk and dizzy from a booming economy and bootleg liquor. But for every teetotaler, there were two drunks - for every hard earned dollar, there were ten made on the sly - and for every newly-made millionaire, there were twenty waiting in the wings for him to fall. It was a world of violence and corruption. And a world that nearly consumes Kevin Costner in The Gunrunner. The dark, decadent underworld of Montreal is the backdrop for this tale of deceit, intrigue and murder. Ted Beaubien (Kevin Costner) is a gunrunner with his own agenda, a lonely rebel with a cause. But the more he struggles to remain true to himself, the deeper he becomes enmeshed in a tangled web of corruption. And he soon finds himself player, pawn and victim of a much larger power struggle.
