Catherine McCormack (Braveheart) and Rachel Weisz (Stealing Beauty) lead an enchanting, humorous story of romance and friendship set in wartime England. With the nation's men at the front, three beautiful young volunteers arrive at a remote farm to help the cause under the Land Girls program. Opposites in background and temperament, the three soon find themselves united in their efforts to adjust to their new lives -- and to catch the eye of the farmer's handsome son, Joe (Steven Mackintosh). Yet even the peaceful English countryside cannot escape the flames of war, and soon it touches them all in a way that will alter their lives forever, even as their experiences transform the three from awkward girls to women and unlikely allies.
