Matt Walker (Gary Morris, Broadway's Les Miserables and Award Winning Singer/Songwriter) left behind his modest country upbringing to seek fame and fortune. His return is bittersweet due to his brother's death in a tragic accident. In addition to dealing with the loss of his brother, Matt is faced with the responsibility of selling the family farm at a time when many others in the area are being pushed out of business by a high-tech company run by Carl Betz (Boxcar Willie, Sweet Dreams, Country Gold). Things become more complicated when Matt meets his neighbors, Paul (John Beck, The Other Side Of Midnight) and Cheryl Shuler (Tracy Kristofferson), because Cheryl was the high school sweetheart that Matt left behind. After speaking with the town's sheriff, Jake (Wilford Brimley, Cocoon, The Firm) Matt begins to suspect that his brother's death wasn't an accident. In pursuit of the truth, a trail of jealousy, deceit and mistaken identities is revealed. A Place To Grow is a heart-rending tale of hope and struggle set against a backdrop of the beautiful Mid-West, where faith and love can make dreams come true.
