The 1928-9 "Scroll"Issue
Complete set of Definitives
Issued at various dates in 1928 and 1929

Nick-named Scroll" for the scroll-like artwork around the portrait of the King on the lower value definitives, this issue includes such famous stamps as 50c Bluenose and $1 Parliament issue. It also includes Canada First Airmail Stamp.

High Value definitives were released without fanfare when stocks of the previous issue became close to being exhausted. As a result possibly the only one to have ever made First day covers for the high values in this set was  T.R Legault accountant of the Stamp Division.

Examples of the Blue Nose and Parliament are shown here. They form, with little doubt the most valuable, scarce and desirable items for the Canadian FDC Collector. Less than a dozen were produced, perhaps only two or three.

Probably the most beautiful and popular Canadian Stamp ever on a First Day Cover prepared by L. R. Legault of the Stamp Division in Ottawa

Lindberg Cachet prepared by A. C. Roessler

use of Plane stickers and Air Mail Stamp could be deemed to be a cachet.

Otherwise, ther are no known cachets for the rest of the stamps in this series.
