How easy it is to ... be a Christian when there is no waiting on checkstand #3 How hard it is to ... be a Christian when there is only one checker, the line is 10 carts long, and everyone seems to have a cranky child with them How easy it is to ... enjoy your kids when they are getting along with each other How hard it is to ... deal with them when they have an attitude about everything (age does not apply). How easy it is to ... like your job when no one is looking over your shoulder How hard it is to ... be calm and helpful when a co-worker isn't getting it done How easy it is to ... be a Christian when the freeway is clear and you are on your way How hard it is to ... be a Christian when someone cuts you off, then slows down, and you were already running late for an appointment. How easy it is to ... forgive strangers when your day is going great. How hard it is to ... forgive your own family for the smalest thing when you are tired, stressed, or just feeling out of sorts. How easy it is to ... be a Christian on Sunday mornings, standing in Church. How hard it is to ... be a Christian when dealing with the everyday world. No one ever said that being a Christian was going to be easy. As a matter of fact, I can remember a friend telling me, "the closer you get to God, the harder Satan will work on you." Was that an understatement or what? Being a Christian will be the hardest, yet most rewarding thing anyone could ever do. We know that God will never give us more to deal with than we can handle, with His help. All we have to do is ask and be ready for His answer. then hold on, because you are in for the ride of your life, with your best friend right beside you. God bless! Pastor Ken Keene 08-17-97
