Poetry in the Night
MaryAnn/CoyoteCrowDreamer

bird then bat and coyote call
rabbits race along the wall
in liquid golden dusky light
my world turns to another night

trees against the velvet sky
reach and stretch and gently sigh
wild oats whispers and shakes it head
in gathering gloom my feet are led

the garden sleeps and silent so
with sunflowers bowing in a row
gentle honk and call of geese
an evening sound of family peace

i draw the magic send my call
beneathe the moon in splendor awe
to see the Goddess blazing crown
starlight showers to the ground

her power gathers fills my soul
i clearly see my lifelong roll
to be a creature kin of worth
daughter of my Mother Earth
