The Difference Between Suffering
for Self's Sin and The Suffering For Others:
The Suffering of The Perfect
Man:
The Intercessory Life
To "marry" means to become "intimate with"
the LIFE of the one married to. INTIMATELY: knowing privately
through experience what no one else knows about this one married to.
To "marry" means to give up your name
[ YOUR characteristics, your SELF, your LIFE] for HIS Name, HIS
Characteristics - to TAKE ON - BECOME HIS Name, HIS Characteristics.
His DEFINING Characteristic? LOVE.
Love for The Father and Love for others...PERFECTLY. THIS IS AN EXCHANGED
LIFE: NOT EARNED.
The experiences AFTER marriage are not
YOURS! They are HIS and His Wife is KNOWING Him through them.
Becoming INTIMATE with Him. UNDERSTANDING Him. SEEING Him.
EMBRACING Him. MAKING LOVE with Him as she sees, understands, embraces
and admires Him.
There is one - Satan - whose job it is
to try "the perfect" [see Job] to make certain "the
confession" is pure, is true, is everlasting
- in all things. All this takes place in the "inner
realm" - WITHOUT THE SMELL OF SMOKE.
And NONE of this is mental , emotional
NON-events - but is ACTUAL and takes place
in an arena more exquisitely alive than the
physical realm. This realm must
be entered into WITH KNOWLEDGE. For there are
issues to be addressed WITH "KNOWING"
and "UNDERSTANDING". There is a body
WITHIN the physical body that must STAND
and WITHSTAND, "tried" in REALITY - ON
THE RACK ( MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND

HE SIMPLY - LOVES.
This is a love so demanding that she must
learn who are in her IMMEDIATE bundle and who AREN'T for she must TAKE
ON THE ACTUAL SUFFERING, THE ACTUAL...of those who are!
"What, then, of the suffering imposed
unjustly upon a Man who is morally perfect, who is
completely innocent, whose imaginative
powers are developed to the highest degree
possible for a human being, who is without
spot or blemish in his character, and who has a
capacity for suffering for others infinitely
beyond that of the rest of men? Because of our
selfishness most of us have too little
capacity for this kind of suffering, but the capacity of
the Lord Jesus for suffering with and
for others was infinite. Every one who touched Him,
expectantly, drew strength out of Him,
and He was always consciously drained by this kind
of human contact (Luke 8:46). He wept
at the grave of Lazarus not because Lazarus was
dead, for He knew that within a few moments
He would be raising Lazarus to life again. He
wept because He shared so totally the
grief of Martha and Mary, and was overwhelmed in
his spirit by the sadness of the fact
of death in the midst of life. Because He was God made
Man,this capacity for sharing human suffering
must have been inexhaustible: yet it was
deeply deeply felt nevertheless. On the
intensive side of the scales, there was no
imaginable limit to what the penalty of
our sins could impose upon Him in agony of soul
when he accepted responsibility for them
in our place.
[she joined Him in this that may know
Him in intimacy - see Song of Songs 8]
How long, then, must He actually suffer
in his own body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24) in order
to atone for our sins? Clearly, the answer
lies in the extent of his capacity. And that capacity
was infinite [that is what is TESTED
- IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE CAPACITY TO
LOVE]. The depth dimension in this
equation reaches down so far in the infinitude of his
capacity that the length dimension, the
length of time He must suffer when measured in
hours, almost ceases to have any consequence.
It is necessary to say almost for reasons
which will become apparent in due time.
