Frederic B. Gentry, Hamilton Co., TX., 9 Dec. 1870, approved. Age 60.
In March 1836 he was a pvt. in Capt. Wm. W. Hill's Company of Infantry,
Col. Burleson's Reg't. & served in the Battle of San Jacinto. John M. Swisher
and James Farmer, Travis Co., knew Gentry & affirmed his service.
James Farmer, Comanche, Comanche Co., 10 Dec. 1870, approved.
Age 70. In March 1836, he was a pvt. in Capt. W. W. Hill's Company of
Infantry and served in the Battle of San Jacinto. Jno. M. Swisher and
F.B. Gentry, Travis Co., affirmed identity. Power of Attorney to J.D.
Stephens, Austin, from Farmer & F.B. Gentry, Sept. 1874.
There were no other Gentry's in the book. If anyone is interested in
pursuing any of those mentioned in the book, they should consult the
Texas State Archives. On some men there is no other info, but on many
of them there are multiple documents. Due to space considerations, we
only abstracted a minimum of data.
