Why the Warrior was better left dead
Andrew Gomila
I seem to be the only person I know who isn't thrilled by the Warrior's return to WCW. Before he came back, I was just as excited as the next guy, thinking how awesome it could be. And then finally, he shows up. Cool entrance, and maybe finally Hogan will have an angle worth watching, right? Wrong. He had to start speaking. I mean, he opens up with something like "Hogan, take control of your limited capability to comprehend the words I am about to eloquate..." Hmm...does that sound right to you? After that, he just goes on an on, seemingly making up words left and right, taking 17 minutes instead of his scheduled 6 or 7.                Fine. So he's back. And so he's immediately put onto team WCW for the War Games. They hype up how he could win the title shot at War Games...meanwhile he continues to appear and rant and rave...but no wrestling. So finally War Games comes around. I too wasted my money on it, don't feel bad if you did. The main event starts out decently, DDP and Hart fighting for a while, Sting and Luger kicking ass, and finally they come down to the final three entrances. It was obvious from the beginning what the order of the entrances at the end was going to be: Nash, then Hogan, then the Warrior. So Nash comes in. He dominates the match, just kicking ass left and right. After about 30 seconds of this though, that glory hound Hollywood Hogan comes in and smacks him, along with everyone else but Stevie Ray, with a blackjack. Damn. Hogan does it again. And then time runs out, and here comes the Warrior. Great. We're finally gonna get to see him kick ass. He even runs in like a maniac, just as he used to in the WWF in the 80's and early 90's. I'm sure many other people were as interested as I was. I thought he was gonna kick Hogan's ass, and DDP and Nash and the others would "come to", thus making it an interesting match. Boy was I wrong. Hogan, of course, runs. I thought then...well maybe it'll come out good anyway. Nope. Warrior uses his "massive strength" to kick the cage wall off, and follow Hogan. But does he get to him? Nope. Somehow the marvelous WCW security forces stop these two giant men. Funny, but a few weeks ago, couldn't they not stop Meng???                So here we come, Halloween Havoc is only a few weeks away. And we have the heavily hyped Hogan vs. Warrior rematch. Now, this is gonna be a good match right? Probably not. There's a few possible outcomes. 1: Hogan beats Warrior to avenge his ego for the loss a few years ago, leaving only two or three he has an unanswered loss to 2: Warrior wins impressively after fighting off the nWo who try to save their boss...but he shows none of the excitement that made him fun to watch before 3: Warrior and Hogan dance around for 45 minutes without fighting, like Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman did, and I fall asleep from boredom before the end, so I don't find out who wins.                Which one is most likely you ask? I say either one or three...maybe even #1 by way of #3. But that is just my opinion. I could always be wrong.
