Synopsis
'Where Sleeping Dogs Lie' -- A Synopsis
Down on his luck, broke, evicted and about to lose his job, Bruce (Dylan McDermott), a struggling writer, finds himself squatting in the run-down mansion he is desperately trying to sell in his mundane real estate job. To make money fast, Bruce rents out one of the rooms to timid supermarket manager Eddie Hale (Tom).
It turns out that the house has a spine-chilling history – the previous occupants, the Carroll family, were killed in cold blood whilst asleep…a crime that was never solved. Although horrified, Bruce is inspired to piece together the money-spinning murder mystery novel that his beautiful agent (Sharon Stone) has always encouraged him to write.
Researching the gruesome deaths and reviving the Carroll ghosts for his story with Eddie assisting him, Bruce becomes engrossed in the darkness and horror of the murders. It soon becomes apparent that he has resurrected far more of the past than he bargained for…
