Home Grown is an awesome band from Orange, California!! After Ian, John and Bob graduated from El Modena High School, they joined up with Adam who had also just graduated from Estancia High School in Costa Mesa. To promote their debut album, That's Business, they played in local clubs and at parties. More and more people heard about their energetic live shows and their audiences grew bigger and bigger with bands like Blink182 and Unwritten Law offering invitations for Home Grown to open for them. They're really funny to see live!! They definately entertain their audience!! They do a cover of Aqua's "Barbie Girl" complete with Adam doing his 'Barbie' voice!! In the past few months, they've opened for shows on Blink182's tour and recently, they're been touring with mxpx. Adam and John can play both bass and guitar so halfway during their sets, they switch guitars. Recently, Ian quit Home Grown because Home Grown had "differences." Justin Poyser has taken Ian's but this change in lead guitarists hasn't changed anything else. Their latest record, Act Your Age, is out on OutPost Records and it's awesome!! The cd art is great too. The front of the cd has a funny picture of the guys all old and ugly and still acting like they do now and then the back cover is the guys now! The inside has a whole collage of pictures of the guys playing live. "Surfer Girl" is the first single and was actually written, recorded and featured on their debut album. It is the only song from the debut album, That's Business, featured on Act Your Age. Homegrown are totally awesome to see live so go to their shows!!
