(Most recent news is
first)
- Since wrapping up the tour and promotion for
Shady Satin Drug, the band seems to have disbanded. While there is no
official word of a breakup, the official website has been taken offline and
all indications are that there are no plans for any future work together as
soulDecision. This site will continue to remain online but will not be
updated unless there is any news to report.
- 'Hypnotize' has been released as the next radio
single (following Cadillac Dress and Kiss The Walls)
- soulDecision's tour for Shady Satin Drug has
come to an end with less than stellar ticket sales. The Toronto show
had less tickets sold than given away!
- The album has been released, and all the lyrics
are up, including album cover scans!!!!!
- After NUMEROUS delays, Shady Satin Drug's
release has been finalized (again). The album can be purchased on
soulDecision.com and will be released nationally on November 30th!
Stay tuned for lyrics, etc.
- Uploaded some more album cover pics on the
lyrics page. Still no word on an album release date or anything
further from soulDecision!
- Cadillac Dress is the new single from
soulDecision, though they have recently recorded a video for Kiss The
Walls. Cadillac Dress is having significant success in Western Canada
and minimal success in Ontario. There is also a remix available on soulDecision.com that some Vancouver stations have begun to play.
- Lyrics to three of the songs on Shady Satin Drug
have been posted!! Check 'em out on the lyrics page! The album
continues to be delayed as sD change record labels and other fun shit like
that. Expect the album sometime before the end of the year; there is
currently a vote on soulDecision.com regarding the first single!
- soulDecision recently performed at the TD
Centre's Tree of Lights celebration in downtown Toronto. They are
excited to begin touring again, and look forward to releasing the new album!
Their new track "Light It Up" is available for download for 99cents (CDN)
from PureTracks.com!
- Update on the new album! souldecision.com
reports that Dave has left the band to pursue a solo career. The band
now consists of 5 members, now including former 'back-up band' members.
The album is still to be titled Shady Satin Drug, and will be coming out
hopefully as soon as possible. Samples of three songs -- Shady Satin
Drug, Cadillac Dress, and Hypnotize are available on souldecision.com!
- Although an update has yet to be officially
posted; Already Know My Name has learned the following information re: the
new album:
- The band is hoping to finish recording the album
by May 9th.
- They have worked with a number of well-known
producers in the process
- The style will be similar, with a little more
influence by rock and funk
- The album title is Shady Satin
Drug
- The band is now officially a 6 piece,
incorporating the former 'back-up' instruments into the group.
- No word yet on a release date, Already Know My
Name will keep you updated!
- The official soulDecision website (soulDecision.com)
has been delaying a release of its updated version for months now. In
summer of 2002 it was touted as "soulDecision.com v. 2.0, launching
September 2002"... the September turned into "Fall" and has now been updated
to "Spring 2003." Hopefully more website, band, and album news will be
released then!
- Trevor appeared at the 2002
MuchMusic Video Awards on June 16th. He spoke with some
fans and told them that they are still busy recording. He
has also been learning Spanish and attempted to practice
it with some Shakira fans in the crowd. Pictures below
are taken from that appearance:
- Rumours still have it that the
band is experiencing delays with writing and recording,
still no official word though.
- Still no official word from
soulDecision regarding the album they are working on, but
word has it that it is taking longer than expected. Any
news will be posted here
- No news yet on the new album,
though rumours have a release date set sometime in June
2002.
- soulDecision performed the John
Lennon song "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" at the
New Year's Niagara Falls concert on December 31st.
Although drummer Stephen and guitarist James played with
them at the December 30th and 31st concerts, both will
apparently still be leaving the band.
- soulDecision will be featured on
a compilation CD called "BC Aid," which is a
collection of songs by British Columbian artists with all
proceeds going towards September 11th charities. The
track will be "I Don't Need Anyone"
- soulDecision will be performing
in two concerts in December: December 30th in
Mississauga, and at the "New Year's Eve Niagara
Falls" celebration (which is typically aired live on
television). The New year's concert also features Snow
and Wave
- Gravity is featured on the hit
compilation "Now!6", available in stores now
- soulDecision are nominated for
two Kiss92 "Fannies", in the categories
Favourite Male Group and Favourite Canadian Group. For

- soulDecision was forced to cancel
their single appearance at the Western Fair due to travel
problems resulting from the incidents in the United
States. They sent a message through Kardinal Offishall
(who replaced them on the billing) that they are all okay
and continuing work on their album.
- The MuchMusic Video Awards (See
below) have been cancelled due to the events of September
11th.
- soulDecision have been nominated
for an MMVA People's Choice Award! They are nominated in
the Favourite Canadian Group Category, against Baby Blue
Sound Crew, Barenaked Ladies, Our Lady Peace, and Sum 41.
The MMVA Winners will be announced September 23rd.
- soulDecision will have ONE
appearance in September. They will be performing at the
Western Fair in London on September 14th, with Snow

- soulDecision have small
appearances in the August issues of Teen People and
Seventeen!
- FYI, the lyrics to all of
soulDecision's songs (including Tonight (Is The Night))
are now up! Check out the lyrics page here to find them! :)
- The Psykoblast tour has ended,
and so has soulDecision's drummer Stephen's time with the
band. He is leaving them to get married, and has been
with the band for three years. No word yet on who will
replace him.
- The lyrics to all five singles
from No One Does It Better are up. The rest of the songs
will be up very soon
- soulDecision is currently
completing the Psykoblast tour, and is rumoured to be
spending their downtime after the tour working on a new
album

STUFF ABOUT sD
- The band (originally based out of
Vancouver, BC) first became popular under the name
"inDecision" in the early/mid 1990's, with the
hit single "Tonight (Is The Night)".
- They promptly disappeared, only
to reappear in early 2000, now renamed soulDecision, with
the single "Faded"
- They since released their album
"No One Does It Better" in Canada, and later in
the US and Australia
- Their former work under the name
indecision is unfortunately unavailable.
- The band is comprised of:

ROCK
'N' ROLL HALL OF FAME PERFORMANCE: MAY 11TH, 2001
This is my chance to gloat,
here's my experience along with all the pictures I took!
A group of music students,
including myself were in Cleveland for a music festival,
conveniently enough on the day that soulDecision was performing
at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. I was fortunate enough to be
in the front row and of course meet them afterward at an
autograph signing. All in all, it was an amazing performance, so
enjoy my pictures! :)

PSYKOBLAST
MISSISSAUGA (MEET & GREET), JUNE 25TH, 2001
These pictures were taken at
the special meet & greet (aka autograph signing), before the
concert. I also took pictures at the actual concert but bad film
combined with dead camera batteries and bad seats led to pictures
of blackness. The guys were again really nice, and Trevor even
remember meeting me in Cleveland. Enjoy the pics! :)

NEW YEAR'S EVE NIAGARA FALLS, 2001-02
These pictures were taken live at the
concert. Apologies for the cloudiness in some pictures, after
midnight a number of people were smoking as it was an outdoor
concert. Apologies also for the imbalance of pictures, for most
of the night Dave often hid behind his microphone, and Ken was
way at the back of the stage in a shadow. Their band for this
show (and supposedly for the last time) consisted of Tino (bass,
wearing white), James (guitar, wearing black shirt with red tie),
and Stephen (at the drums). James and Stephen were supposed to
have left the band after the PsykoBlast tour, but came back for
this concert and the concert the previous night in Mississauga
