With Antichrist Superstar having come to its fruition, on the eye of its finest hour, one question remains: Is Marilyn Manson the Antichrist? And the answer is no. He's a superstar. Please note: Antichrist means not Satanic. The name [Marilyn Manson] really described what the music was always intended to be: a juxtaposition of opposites. Taking two things that normally don't belong together, Marilyn and Manson.I think that is an interesting look at American culture. Marilyn Manson about "Anti-Christ SuperStar": When I finished the record the message I got was believing in yourself. It's a bit of an autobiography, and it talks about the disillusionment of childhood and searching for something to believe in. I think at the end of the story you really find that you're the only thing that you can count on.

Ok Here are some of the rumors that have been spreading about Marilyn Manson, so I am going to try and clear these up, for the sake of common sense.
1: Marilyn Manson did NOT have 2 or 3 of his ribs removed so that he could perform falatio on himself! According to doctors, NO such surgery has ever been done, and doing so, would NOT increase one's flexibility, as flexibility is determined by the SPINE. However, what this kind of surgery WOULD do is make it more difficult to BREATHE.
2: Marilyn Manson does NOT worship Satan!, Satanism and Devil Worship are NOT the same thing. Yes, Manson is a Reverend of the CoS (Church of Satan), which does NOT believe in either the Christian Devil or God as entities. He believes it's up to you to take responsibility for your own actions, rather than blaming them on a God or Satan. life is what YOU make it, and you must think for youeself.
3: Marilyn Manson does NOT torture or kill animals on stage, although he has had a chicken on stage once, but it WAS UNHARMED!!! Also, Marilyn Manson does NOT ask the audience to tear appart live puppies as he thinks dogs are layol animals and he as no reason to harm them NO animals (besides the ONE chicken) are used in the show, and NEVER have any animals been harmed on stage.
4: Marilyn Manson does NOT have sex on stage and NEVER has but he does preform in little clothing and he does say the show does have a lot of sexual overtones, But he does NOT have sex on stage. There was ONE ISOLATED incident where he performed faltio on NIN's Robin Finck on stage, however this was only for a BRIEF two seconds! This was three years ago before the band was well known and it has NOT happened since. NOTHING of this sort has taken place during this current tour.
5: Marilyn Manson does NOT advocate the abuse of children or rape in any way. He, himself was abused as a child, he also does not tell people to harm them selves in anyway, as he said on New Zealand T.V that if someone kills them self over his music or any music, they deserve it, as it is one less week person in the world as Marilyn Manson thinks Suicide is a week thing to do.
